Will Stockport County ever drop points again? Can Wrexham find their form? Who's in the bigger crisis, Chesterfield or Eastleigh? All these questions answered and more, in our weekly National League preview.
By Amos Murphy
National League leaders Stockport County are targeting nine wins in a row across all competitions, as the resurgence under new fans’ favourite Dave Challinor continues.
Last beaten away to Torquay United in mid-December, the Hatters have transformed themselves into favourites for the title.
Priced at 1/2 with Betfred for the three points against Barnet, Stockport have scored freely in recent weeks, and come in at 2/1 to net over 2.5 goals.
Having taken points of Chesterfield and FC Halifax Town in recent weeks, Maidenhead United are targeting yet another upset against playoff-hopefuls Wrexham.
With new signing Ollie Palmer getting off to a goalscoring start on his debut, the Reds will be confident of stealing another victory at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday.
Odds on to take the three points, Wrexham come in at 2/1 to win the game, with both teams finding themselves on the scoresheet.
Neither Chesterfield or Eastleigh have enjoyed a happy week, with turmoil surrounding the pairs' managers clouding a difficult seven days.
Eastleigh became the first side in just under a year to lose to bottom-placed Dover Athletic, whilst Chesterfield announced their manager James Rowe had been suspended pending investigation.
Set to meet in Saturday's late kick-off, both teams to score at 4/6 looks like a sensible shout.
Bromley will welcome the visit of Notts County this weekend, with both sides eager to take home three points, as the playoff race starts to heat up.
Notts County sit just outside the top seven as things stand, whilst Bromley remains in touch with the automatic places.
The Magpies can move level on points with leaders Stockport, should they win their games in hand, and they're 6/4 to beat Bromley this weekend.
If it wasn't for Dover's point deduction, it's likely King's Lynn Town would sit bottom of the National League, with title-challengers Boreham Wood confident of piling the misery on the Linnets.
With an FA Cup Fourth Round tie to look forward to next weekend, the Wood will be keen to keep chase with their fellow Football League hopefuls, by securing an expected victory.
There is little value in the Boreham Wood win at 1/4, but if you're confident they'll be goals, the hosts to score over 3.5 goals is priced at 10/3.
