St Albans picked up a 2-0 win at Bath City to climb into fifth place.
Shaun Jeffers grabbed both goals to bring his impressive tally to 14 in as many games.
Bottom club Hemel Hempstead Town picked up a point in a 1-1 draw with Welling United.
Tonbridge Angels got back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Billericay Town.
Slough Town picked up a much-needed 2-1 win over Havant & Waterlooville.
It’s a first win since the opening day for Slough, who have climbed above fellow strugglers Braintree and Billericay in the table.
Hampton & Richmond Borough and Chippenham Town played out a goalless draw.
