Notts County have begun using Nottingham Forest’s old training base at Holme Road.
The Magpies are currently leasing the facility from the Reds until the end of this season having announced they had struck a deal in August.
Notts had been training at Nottingham Trent University on a short-term basis, but the Magpies finally moved in to their new home last Monday.
The groundstaff at Meadow Lane have been helping get the pitches ready and Ardley said they had done a fantastic job given the short time they had to work on it.
“We moved in last Monday,” he said. “But we’ve gone from quite a firm pitch at Nottingham Trent to a little bit softer where we are now."
