Nathan Clarke has announced his retirement from playing following his recent departure from FC Halifax Town.

The 37-year-old captained his hometown club, having originally joined back in 2018.

The former Huddersfield Town and Leyton Orient man has confirmed he will be taking up a role with the player agency OmniSports.

Clarke also featured for Bradford City, Coventry City and Grimsby Town during his career, along with loan stints at Colchester United, Oldham Athletic and Bury.
