Slough Town and Chippenham Town have said they are to appeal against their respective punishments from the National League.

The National League South clubs were each fined £8000 for not fulfilling fixtures and given an eight-point deduction that will come into effect if they are found guilty of similar breaches next season.

Slough have said today: "The National League has until 30th April to respond, following which an FA Appeal Board will be arranged to consider the appeal."

Chippenham, meanwhile, say: "The National League has until 28th April to respond, following which an FA Appeal Board will be arranged to consider the appeal. The club has taken legal advice in the appeal's formulation and is now considering its representation in anticipation of the FA Appeal Board hearing.

"We will continue to keep you informed as appropriate."
