Non League Best Bets - Saturday 3rd February 2024

After Maidstone were the talk of the nation after their heroics in the FA Cup, more eyes than ever will be on the Non-League scene. With that in mind, I have four of my best bets previewed.

Aveley vs Worthing

After two shock promotions in a row, Aveley are now making a name for themselves in the National League South. The Essex side currently sit in fifth place, defying expectations yet again.

Danny Scopes side are currently five unbeaten and are looking to extend the gap between them and the teams outside playoffs. The Millers owe a lot of their success to some big scalps this campaign, boasting wins against Worthing, Torquay and Maidstone already.

Games at the Parkside have certainly been entertaining, seeing an average of 3.06 goals per game, as well as their last six league games seeing at least three goals.

Aveley face a tough task, hosting second place Worthing- the leagues top scorers. Adam Hinshelwood's side are the league entertainers, with their games averaging 3.56 goals.

In Ollie Pearce, The Rebels possess the top scorer in the league. The 28-year-old has scored 23 goals, including eight in his last six. He is also supported in attack by the 'Non-League Jack Grealish,' Danny Cashman and new signing Dylan Fage.

The reverse fixture saw a 2-1 win for Aveley and with both teams boasting an abundance of goals, we should be set for an exciting affair in Essex.

Bet : Over 2.5 3.0 Goal Line - 1.800

Kingstonian vs Hastings United

A 0-0 draw at Concord Rangers halted a six game losing streak for Kingstonian. However, Simon Lane's side are now 14 matches without winning, a run that has seen them sink to the bottom of the league, now nine points from safety.

The stalemate in Essex was Kingstonian's first game that didn't see over 2.5 goals in their last seven games. In fact, 18 of their last 20 games have seen three or more goals. With 36 goals scored and 56 conceded, the K's games are averaging over 3.6 goals, with 12/13 at home and 21/25 total seeing three or more goals.

They host a Hastings side who have seen over 2.5 goals in a league high 11/14 away games. The U's currently sit fourth and will be hoping to beat an out of sorts Kingstonian side to create some breathing room between themselves and the chasing pack.

With Hastings games seeing an average of 3.18 goals, we should be in for an entertaining battle at Fetcham Grove, especially if the 3-2 Hastings victory in the reverse is anything to go by.

Bet: Over 3.0 Goal Line - 1.975

Lancaster vs Matlock

Sitting in 11th, but just five points off the playoffs, Lancaster will fancy their chances of a late playoff push. Mark Fell's side will be looking to improve on last seasons 11th placed finish and a home game against 14th place Matlock presents the perfect opportunity.

Over their last six games, Lancaster games are averaging 3.83 goals, with all six seeing at least three goals. In fact, 10 of their last 11 have seen 'over 2.5 goals.'

Their visitors Matlock have also seen an abundance of goals in their games, with 20/26 seeing over 2.5 goals, and their games averaging 3.75 goals.

Despite losing Johnny Margetts, the league top scorer, with 27 goals already this season, Martin Carruthers still boasts a strong attack.

Hopefully, we see at least a repeat of the scoreline last time they met, with Lancaster running out 2-1 winners.

Bet: Over 2.5 3.0 Goal Line - 1.875

Radcliffe vs Guiseley

Radcliffe look set to be running away with the Northern Premier League title, currently sitting nine points clear with three games in hand.

Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson's side have been far and away the best team in the league, evident by them winning their last six games, scoring at least two goals in all six and at least three in five.

The Boro have scored 70 goals, for an average of 2.8 goals scored per game. They are blessed with Josh Hancock and Jordan Hulme, with the duo level on 14 goals.

Radcliffe have gained 33 points from 13 home games and will look to extend their run against a Guiseley side occupying 7th place.

Bet: Radcliffe -1 Asian Handicap - 2.00
