Matthew O'Regan has his non-league best bets and predictions for this weekends slate.
Altrincham have lost three of their last four games in the league – a run that has seen them slip outside the playoff places, so the pressure is on the Robins. However, at Moss Lane, Alty have been strong only losing twice. Phil Parkinson won’t be panicking yet as his side still have seven home games to play – significantly more than their playing rivals. Both Teams To Score has landed in their last three home games.
A four-game unbeaten run has seen Aldershot move five points clear of relegation. Four of these games have been at home, with Tommy Widdrington still reeling over his sides' poor away record. The Shots have taken just 12 points on the road, with AFC Fylde and Ebbsfleet the only sides with a worse travelling record. Both teams to score has landed 12/16 away games for Aldershot, including in the reverse fixture.
Prediction: Altrincham Win and Both Teams To Score- 3.60
The National League North promotion race looks to be going to the wire, with Chester sat in third, two points off leaders Brackley. The Seals won their first game in three attempts after beating Warrington 3-1 to put the pressure back on the top two. Calum McIntyre’s side have been hard to beat at home, conceding just ten goals and taking 39 points from 19 games.
Leamington are 17 points clear of relegation and 13 off the playoffs, so they are firmly in the ‘on the beach’ territory. Their home form is amongst the best in the league, taking 37 points from 19, but only strugglers Warrington and Rushall have a worse away record.
Prediction: Chester -1 Asian Handicap @1.975
Dagenham and Redbridge are in freefall. They are 12 games without a win and are yet to win under new manager Lewis Young. Their only win in 2025 came against basement boys Ebbsfleet on NYD. This run has seen them in stark danger of relegation, so the onus is on them to get a positive result at home to Tamworth.
After back-to-back promotions, Tamworth will be delighted to be comfortably safe heading into the latter stages of the season. The Lambs have lost just one of their last nine and sit seven points off the playoffs. However, Andy Peaks’ side have played more games than those around them, so face an uphill battle to reach the playoffs.
This means he can take the handbrakes off his side as a few wins on the bounce may put the cat amongst the pigeons in the playoff race. We have seen evidence of a more attack-minded Tamworth in recent weeks, with their last nine matches seeing BTTS.
Prediction: Tamworth win and Both Teams to Score @5.50
Dorking’s slip-up in midweek has given Worthing the upper hand in the title race and the Rebels will be looking to take advantage as they host 11th-place Hemel Hempstead. Chris Agutter’s side have been in storming form, winning their last four games on the trot, scoring nine goals in the process. BTTS has landed in 12 of their last 14 games. They have taken 38 points from 18 home games so boast one of the best PPG in the league.
Hemel Hempstead are now unbeaten in eight games. The Tudors have nothing to play for and have a poor away record. The reverse fixture saw a 1-1 draw thanks to a last-minute Jack Spong equaliser, so it would not be a surprise to see Worthing come out on top in front of a packed Woodside Road.
Prediction: Worthing Win and Both Teams To Score @2.75
Things are turning sour at Yeovil, with fans seemingly fed up of Mark Cooper’s football. The Glovers have now lost three games in a row, conceding nine goals in the process.
The title looks to be out of reach for York, but they will still aim to finish the season strong. Adam Hinshelwood’s free-flowing side have scored 68 goals – a total only bettered by Barnet. In Ollie Pearce they boast the top scorer in the league, with the 22-goal man scoring a hat trick in the reverse. The 29-year-old has previous against Yeovil, having scored three goals in two appearances against them last season.
Prediction: Ollie Pearce To Score @2.75
