Matthew O'Regan has his best bets and predictions for the weekend non-league slate, with three bets from the Isthmian Premier League, one from the National League South and one from the National League.
Bognor Regis look dead and buried in the Isthmian Premier League. They need to pick up points soon, as they are ten points from safety. The Rocks have shown a bit of fight in recent weeks and have lost just once in their last six games, coming at home to table toppers Billericay.
Jamie Howell and Michael Birmingham's side have by far the worst defensive record in the league, conceding 80 goals in 33 games. However, in Tommy Lee-Higgs they have one of the most talented players at the level. The 20-year-old has scored 17 of his side's 44 goals this season. Bognor games have averaged 3.76 goals this season, with a league high 25/33 seeing at least three goals.
Folkestone have nothing to play for in the latter stages of the season. They sit 14 points clear of relegation and 12 points off the playoffs. A run of four games without a win has killed any momentum gathered by winning three on the bounce. Whilst only 19/32 (59%) of games have seen at least three goals, over 2.5 goals has landed in nine of the last 11.
Prediction: Over 3.0 Goals @1.975
Cheshunt were sleepwalking to relegation under hugely popular manager Craig Edwards. The Amber hierarchy made the brave decision to dismiss the 66-year-old and replace him with Mel Gwinnett. Undereen strong and now sit nine points clear of the bottom four. Gwinnett prioritises attacking football, with nine of the last 12 games seeing at least three goals. The arrival of former Norwich striker Kenny Coker has seen a huge improvement in front of goal. The 21-year-old has five goals since joining.
The poor form of Dover and Cray Valley Paper Mills has given Carshalton hope of a late playoff charge. The Robins sit seventh and just five points off the top five. A six-game winning streak was thwarted by losing 3-2 at Billericay and a 4-4 draw at home to Bognor Regis, but optimism is still high. Of their last 12 games, ten have seen over 2.5 goals.
Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals @1.85
Eastleigh have a strong home record, having scored in every game at the Silverlake Stadium. The Spitfires are unbeaten in their last four at home, winning three of these. Kelvin Davis' side have taken 31 points from 18 home games - only four teams have a better record.
Hartlepool are in turmoil and could be dragged into an unexpected relegation battle after four losses in a row and six games without a win. The Monkey Hangers are poor on their travels and face a tough afternoon away at a side seven points ahead of them in the league.
Prediction: Eastleigh 0.0 Asian Handicap @1.800
Whitehawk looked destined for the drop until the return of last season's manager Shaun Saunders. The Hawks are now nine points clear of safety and looked well-placed to survive. Their form at the Enclosed Ground is to thank for this, losing just once in their last seven and taking 27 points from 16.
Chatham sit 10th in the league after back-to-back wins. This followed a run of six losses from eight as their playoff hopes were abruptly ended. The Chats have taken just 16 points from 15 on the road.
Prediction: Whitehawk+0.5 Asian Handicap @1.800
Worthing look in pole position to win the National League South in a chaotic season. The Rebels are second in the league, one point behind Dorking with a game in hand and the Wanderers are still to visit Woodside Road this season. Of their last ten games, BTTS has landed in nine, with the exception the 4-0 loss at Slough - a game Chris Agutter's side were unlucky not to score in. At home, Worthing boast one of the better home records in the league, taking 35 points from 17.
Chesham have a solid season in the National League South after promotion and sit 16th. The Generals have seen BTTS land in a league-high 14/18 away games, while taking 22 points from these games, only winning one of their last six.
Prediction: Worthing win and BTTS @3.40
