Good Friday is jam-packed with action from Non-League as the season comes to a close. We preview the games with our best bets and predictions.
Ebbsfleet have endured a torrid season. They have been cut adrift at the bottom of the league for most of the campaign and were relegated weeks ago. Josh Wright was hired as manager in his first role and in recent weeks his side has shown fight.
The Fleet have lost just once over the last five games, beating AFC Fylde 1-0 at home, before a 3-3 draw at Aldershot and 2-2 draw at home to Altrincham. They then lost in the 94th minute 3-2 at Hartlepool before dismantling Sutton United 4-1. With no away win this season, Ebbsfleet will be desperate to give their fans some cheer.
Dagenham & Redbridge have slipped down the league at a rate of knots and are in grave danger of relegation. The Daggers are five points from safety with just four games to go. Lewis Young has struggled in charge and off-the-field instability has hindered any chance he may have of success.
With the hosts recent woes, Ebbsfleet may be able to take advantage.
Prediction: Ebbsfleet Over 1.5 Goals @4.00
Six losses in a throw threatened to derail Gateshead's playoff charge, but a 2-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge and a 2-3 win at Forest Green has given them a six point gap over the chasing pack. With 72 goals scored and 60 conceded, Gateshead games are averaging 3.142 goals.
Sat six points behind leaders Barnet, York may struggle to catch The Bees but are giving it a good go. The Minstermen have won four games in a row, scoring 17 goals in the process, conceding three. Adam Hinshelwood's side are now the top scorers in the league and boast the top scorer in the league in Ollie Pearce who has stormed to the golden boot with 30 goals. With York expected to start on the front foot, they should win a high-scoring affair.
Prediction: York win and Both Teams To Score @4.00
10th meets 11th at Vauxhall Road as Hemel Hempstead host Chesham. Neither side can get relegated or make the playoffs, so we could see the handbrake released from both.
Lee Allinson has shone in charge of Hemel Hempstead and has seen them move clear of relegation ahead of a playoff off charge next season. The Tudors have scored 61 goals this season, conceding 71 with their games averaging 3.11 games. At home, this average rises to 4.04, with BTTS landing in 16/21 - the most in the league.
Chesham have enjoyed a stellar National League South season after promotion last year. The Generals sit tenth in the league after four wins from five. Of their 21 away games, 16 have seen both teams to score.
