We are getting to the business end of the season and Matthew O'Regan has his Non League betting predictions and best bets.
12 wins and one draw from their last thirteen has seen Barnet storm 11 points clear at the top of the National League. With a maximum of ten points needed for the title, the Bees will be looking to secure the title sooner rather than later.
Dean Brennan has been at the club for four years and has perfectly built a promotion worthy team. Facing a Gateshead team on a five game losing streak, he will be full of confidence that his side can continue their hot streak. A player key to their successful season has been Ryan Glover. Signed from Aldershot in the summer, the 24-year-old has registered seven goals and eight assists, averaging 0.22 goals per 90.
With Barnet heavy favourites, a lot of their players are priced very low to score. However, Glover presents value given his statistics and the game state.
Prediction: Ryan Glover To Score @4.00
Rochdale are one of many teams fighting for the final few playoff spots. Playing only their second ever season in non-league football, Dale will be keen to secure promotion back to League Two but are stuttering in recent weeks, failing to win their last four, conceding seven goals in their last two home games.
Sat just one point clear of the chasing pack, Jim McNulty's side are under immense pressure and face an Aldershot side they have already defeated this season.
A poor start to the season saw Aldershot in a relegation battle after missing out on playoffs last year. However, an eight game unbeaten streak has given The Shots and outside shot of playoffs. Tommy Widdrington's side are seven points off Rochdale with eight games to go, so a win would put them well in the playoff picture. With 61 goals scored, only Barnet, York and Gateshead have scored more goals than the free-scoring visitors, so they may cause their out-of-sort hosts some issues.
Prediction: Aldershot win @4.50
The National League North title race is looking like going to the wire. Scunthorpe sit ahead of the pack but their 13 game unbeaten run was thwarted with a 1-0 loss to Kidderminster- a result that put Harriers just two points behind. Iron have been strong at home, taking 43 points from 20 games, scoring 40 goals and conceding just 14. Scunny have kept five clean sheets in their last eight games.
Southport visit Attis Arena knowing they will be playing in the National League North next season, despite uncertainty off the pitch. Manager Jim Bentley resigned, leaving David Morgan in interim charge. The Sandgrounders have lost four of their last five games, failing to score in all four losses. Away from home they have struggled, taking just 19 points. On their last visit to Scunthorpe, they lost 1-0 and a similar scoreline would not be a surprise.
Prediction: Scunthorpe win to nil @2.20
After back-to-back promotions against the odds, Tamworth have guaranteed safety for another season. Andy Peak's side can go into games with the pressure off - something that has allowed them to play with freedom. The Lambs are unbeaten in seven games and are now just three points off an unlikely playoff finish. Of their 19 home games, 15 have seen BTTS - including the last five. This is the highest total in the league.
Eastleigh sit one point behind their hosts after failing to win their last four games. Kelvin Davis' side have struggled on the road, taking just 21 points from 19 games. Their 39 games have seen an average of 2.61 goals, with both teams to score landing in 24/39 - the third most in the league.
Prediction: Tamworth win and Both Teams To Score @4.33
