We are in the final stretch of the season now and Matthew O'Regan has his betting tips and predictions from the non-league slate.
Six points separate Basingstoke and Frome in the Southern League South Premier Division. The Stoke have endured a difficult 2025, winning just twice and have won just once in their last ten matches. Dan Brownlie's side have failed to win their last four at home and have won just twice in 2025.
Frome know they can move out of the relegation zone with a win and within three points of their hosts. The Robins have shown fight in recent weeks, losing just once in the last eight and just twice in 2025. They have taken more points on their travels than at home and one less than Basingstoke have taken at home this season.
Prediction: Frome +0.5 Asian Handicap @1.925
Ever since the departure of manager Rob Elliot to Crawley and top scorer Owen Oseni to SPL side St. Mirren, Gateshead have looked less than convincing. The Head are now six without a win having lost their last four games, including back-to-back home losses against strugglers Maidenhead (0-2) and Braintree (1-3).
After back-to-back promotions, Tamworth have taken the National League by storm and now sit in 11th after a six-game unbeaten run. Andy Peaks' are just five points off the playoffs but have played three more games than seventh-place Rochdale. The Lambs know that they need to win the majority of their games to stand a chance of a shock playoff finish.
Gateshead have some weakness from set pieces in recent weeks, with Tamworth's physical style of play coupled with the long-throw of Tommy Tonks likely to cause issues for an out-of-sorts home side.
Prediction: Tamworth +0.5 Asian Handicap @1.850
Sat nine points clear of relegation, Hartlepool are on the beach for the remainder of the season, although pressure is building on manager Anthony Limbrick after a poor run of form. The Monkey Hangers have won just one of their last 13 games - a run that has killed any lingering playoff hopes.
Boston United looked dead and buried a couple of months ago, but the appointment of Graham Coughlan has inspired hopes of pulling off the great escape. The Pilgrims are now just two points from safety after six games unbeaten. They have also won their last five games on the road, taking almost double the amounts of points away from home than at the Jakemans Community Stadium.
Boston's form over the last ten games would put them fourth in the league, while Hartlepool would be 20th. The visitors look far too big a price away at an out-of-sorts Hartlepool.
Prediction: Boston United +0.5 Asian Handicap @1.925
While Hemel Hempstead will finish outside the playoffs, the job Lee Allinson has done can not be understated since joining in December.
Under his guise, the Tudors have been playing exciting front-foot football and have lost just four times in 18 games. Two of these losses came in the opening three games away to Torquay and Chesham, while the other two were against title-chasing Worthing and Boreham Wood. At Vauxhall Road, they have picked up 22 points from a possible 30 under his management, scoring 24 goals in the process. Hemel have scored at least two in all bar one of Allinson's home games.
Aveley are the worst away side in the league, taking just seven points on their travels in 19 games. They have also conceded 40 goals, conceding at least two goals in 14, keeping only one away clean sheet all season.
Prediction: Hemel Hempstead to score over 1.5 goals @1.80
22nd place Welling host table toppers Worthing, with this game having serious implications at both ends of the table.
Welling are ten games without a win, having lost their last three games, conceding seven goals in the process. The Wings have the second-worst defensive record in the league, conceding 72 goals. Rod Stringer recently departed the club but it looks too little too late.
Worthing have taken the league by storm and now sit four points clear at the top with a game in hand. The Rebels have now won five games on the bounce, scoring at least two goals in all five. Chris Agutter's side boasts an impressive attacking record, with only Boreham Wood and Dorking outscoring them.
Prediction: Worthing Win and Over 1 goal @2.00
