As is the busy nature of the non-League scene, we were blessed with Saturday and midweek action. Here we look at five stand-out stories from the week.
Despite a late-season mini-revival, Sutton United were relegated from League Two. Steve Morison's side started the season with a battling point away at recently promoted Tamworth.
Saturday saw The U's host Altrincham at Gander Green Lane, sweeping the Robins aside with ease. Josh Coley opened the scoring after 30 minutes before JJ Harris and Will Davies made it 3-0 eight minutes later. Sami Odelusi made it four on the stroke of half-time. For good measure, Ashley Nadesan made it five to round off a successful afternoon.
Sutton then made the trek from South London to North London to face Wealdstone on the Tuesday night. Teenager Charlie Waller scored the only goal of the game in the 11th minute. It made it back-to-back wins and back-to-back clean sheets for Sutton as they sit third in the table heading into gameweek four.
After a season where they finished 13th and conceded 87 goals, many people were worried Eastleigh may regress this season. However, they opened their season with a dominant 2-0 win at Maidenhead. Saturday saw the visit of AFC Fylde to Silverlake Stadium.
A 27-minute Nick Haughton brace saw the Spitfires worried and behind before Jake Taylor pulled one back before halftime. Kelvin Davies' side were relentless in the second half, with a Chris Maguire goal sandwiched in between a Paul McCallum brace.
Playoff final and FA Trophy defeated finalists Solihull Moors made the long journey to Hampshire. It was a much faster start for Eastleigh, with Jake Taylor and Paul McCallum firing them into a 2-0 lead after 10 minutes. The Spitfires held on despite a 90th-minute Bradley Stevenson goal.
Eastleigh are now the only team in the National League with a 100% record and face a tough journey to face Altrincham on Saturday.
Kyrell Lisbie made the headlines last year after his Cray Valley Paper Mills side made the short journey to the Valley to face Charlton Athletic - a club his Father, Kevin, is a legend at. Against all odds, they battled to a 1-1 draw, meaning Charlton had to travel to the Badgers Sports Ground in a replay.
The Addicks won 1-6, but Lisbie impressed- even scoring a penalty. His performances in the rest of the season caught the attention of many clubs up the pyramid, with Braintree securing the services of the talented 20-year-old.
Lisbie was given 21 and 26 minutes off the bench against Oldham and Yeovil respectively, before being slung into the action at halftime against Aldershot with his side 2-1 down. Lisbie equalised in the 75th minute, before scoring the winner in the 89th minute, poking past Marcus Dewhurst in the Aldershot goal, sparking jubilant scenes.
It was a superb cameo from the youngster - one that has almost certainly earned him a start in the away game at Solihull Moors.
Cody Cooke enjoyed three fine seasons at Bath City, scoring 14, 13 and 17 goals. The 31-year-old's fine form earned him a move to Torquay United.
The Gulls travelled to Twerton Park to face Bath on Tuesday night, with Cooke opening the scoring after 12 minutes as Torquay emerged 1-2 victors.
Newly promoted Enfield Town started their season with a 2-1 loss at Torquay United before beating Weston Super Mare 1-0 in their opening home game of the season.
They then hosted a Slough side who drew a blank in their previous away game and were full of confidence. That was until Kweku Conrad Lucan put the visitors ahead after just three minutes. Bernard Tanner restored clarity for The Towners after 26 minutes - but this was as good as it got.
Slavi Spasov, Kweku Conrad Lucan and John Gilbert sent Slough into a 1-4 lead at halftime. Spasov scored his second in the 56th minute before Jake Timberlake made it six and compounded a miserable afternoon for Enfield. Gavin Macpherson's side now face the longest away game of the season as they travel to Cornwall to face Truro FC.
