After the FA Cup Second Round draw was made, we take a look at how the remaining Non-League teams fared in the first round and got to this stage.
1st Round Result: 4-1 - Braintree (H)
2nd Round Draw: Weston Super Mare (H)
The Clarets beat bitter rivals Braintree 4-1 in front of a packed Melbourne Stadium and the television cameras to secure a passage into the second round. Angelo Harrop would've been delighted to get one over his old side.
Jason Adigun opened the scoring after 19 minutes, before Lyle Taylor doubled the score on minute 28. John Akinde halved the deficit but Jerson Uchegbulam, on the day he signed for the club, made it 3-1 on the strong of half time.
The hosts came out flying in the second half, with Lyle Taylor bagging a brace. Things went from bad to worse for The Iron with Aidan Francis-Clarke receiving a red card for a rash kick out on the hour mark, meaning Chelmsford comfortably saw out the rest of the game.
1st Round Result: 0-2 - AFC Wimbledon (A)
2nd Round Draw: Walsall (H)
After a poor start to the National League season, Gateshead travelled to League One high-flyers AFC Wimbledon more in hope than expectation. However, Alun Armstrong's side provided one of the shocks of the round.
Top scorer Kain Adom and youngster Fenton John scored either side of half time to put Gateshead 2 to the good. The Head then held on for just their fourth clean sheet of the season to upset The Wombles. They now face League 2 Walsall in the next round.
1st Round Result: 3-0 - Crawley (H)
2nd Round Draw: Newport County (H)
The way Boreham Wood have started the National League campaign, it is a bit of a stretch to call their 3-0 win over Crawley an upset, but it was an impressive feat nonetheless. The Wood rushed into a 2-0 lead after goals from Matt Rush and Zak Brunt after 15 minutes, before Ryan Loft was shown a soft yellow card on the brink of half time.
Luke Garrard's side saw out the rest of the game comfortably, with the electric Abdul Abdulmalik sealing the deal in the 72nd minute. They now face League Two basement Boys Newport County in the next round.
1st Round Result: 2-1 - Chatham (H) (AET)
2nd Round Draw: Cheltenham (A)
Step Two Buxton needed extra time to eek past Step Three Chatham in Round One. Tope Fadahunsi fired the visitors into a shock lead after46 minutes, with midfielder Tate Campbell levelling the scores on the hour mark - meaning both sides needed to play an extra half an hour.
The game looked destined for penalties, before Connor Kirby stepped up and scored in the 114th minute. The Bucks now face League Two Cheltenham looking to qualify for the Third Round for the second time in their history.
1st Round Result: 6-3 - AFC Totton (H)
2nd Round Draw: Slough (A)
Arguably the tie of the round came from Moss Rose, with Macclesfield running out 6-3 winners over National League South side AFC Totton.
There were six goals in the opening 36 minutes, with Macclesfield taking the lead twice, before a Scott Rendell brace put the visitors 2-3 up. Daniel Elliott completed his hat trick before half time to make it 3-3.
In the second half, Paul Dawson, Rollin Menayese and Lewis Fensome all scored to seal a comfortable route into the second round and a clash with National South strugglers Slough Town.
1st Round Result: 2-3 - Reading (A) (AET)
2nd Round Draw: Blackpool (A)
Carlisle looked dead and buried with Reading 2-0 up thanks to goals fro Lewis Wing and Mark O'Mahoney. Regan Linney's 93rd minute strike looked to be all but a consolation but the 28-year-old had other plans, levelling the score in the 98th.
Adrenaline still obviously high from the brace, Linney completed his hat trick early in extra time, with Carlisle holding on for a memorable victory. A trip to another League One side in Blackpool awaits the Cumbrians in the next round.
1st Round Result: 2-1 - Altrincham (H)
2nd Round Draw: Macclesfield (H)
Sat in the relegation zone after three straight losses, Slough went into the home time with National League strugglers Altrincham as underdogs.
However, Ansu Janneh and Wiktor Makowski put the Rebels two goals to the good after 37 minutes. A second half James Gale strike made the Arbour Park faithful nervous but Scott Davies' side secured the victory. Slough have made the second round nine times but never the third.
1st Round Result: 2-1 AFC Telford (H)
2nd Round Draw: Shrewsbury (H)
A dismal start to the season saw Steve Morison dismissed as manager and Worthing gaffer Chris Agutter hired as his replacement. The 2-1 win over AFC Telford followed the typical high-scoring games of an Agutter side. The U's took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from David Ogbonna and Ashley Nadesan either side of half time.
Ricardo Dinanga game the visitors hope but the National League side held firm to progress to the second round.
1st Round Result: 1-0 Southend (H)
2nd Round Draw: Grimsby (A)
Wealdstone must navigate a tough away game at Grimsby if they are to reach the third round for the second time in the history. Their game against fellow National League side Southend was decided by a sole Olufela Olomola goal in the first half.
1st Round Result: 2-1 - Aldershot (H) (AET)
2nd Round Draw: Chelmsford (A)
Weston Super Mare had taken 16 points from a possible 18 at home, conceding just one coming into this game, so many fancied them to beat National League strugglers Aldershot.
However, The Shots took an early lead through Kiban Rai and looked to be securing a crucial away win, before Emlyn Lewis equalised for the hosts. James Waite made it 2-1 in extra time to send them to the second round for just the second time in history.
1st Round Result: 2-2- Notts County (Win On Penalties)
2nd Round Draw: Burton (H)
Live on TV, Brackley's game against Notts County was full of drama. The visitors took the lead twice but were pegged back twice by the hosts in the 27th minute and 96th, before Brackley took the victory on penalties. It is the fifth time they have reached the second round - they are yet to go further.
