The English football season is entering its final few weeks, with relegation, playoffs and promotion still to be decided in many leagues. While the National League title is already wrapped up by Chesterfield, the fight for the playoffs is still on. TNT Sports have televised an important game in the make-up of the play-offs, as Solihull Moors host Barnet.
After taking a leap of faith to appoint Banbury's Andy Whing as their new manager, Solihull Moors hasn't looked back. The 39-year-old has the Moors in 5th position, four points clear of the chasing pack.
Draws at Dorking and Aldershot and a home loss to Southend have put the top seven out of the Moors' hand due to FC Halifax's and Aldershot's games in hand, but supporters are still confident.
Whing's side will HAVE to improve their home form if they are to finish in the play-offs, with their 29 points gained at the ARMCO Arena ranking them 13th in the league for home performances. Away from home is another story, with Solihull picking up 37 points on their travels - the second most in the league.
Moors have scored 64 goals and conceded 57 in 41 games, with these games averaging 2.95 goals per game.
Barnet have been the 'best of the rest' in the National League thus far and currently sits second, eight clear of eighth place FC Halifax. Dean Brennan's side are currently on 74 points - the exact total they ended on last campaign. While it is a weaker league this time around with the absence of Notts County and Wrexham, an improvement from last season will be more than welcome.
Three home wins in a row against Rochdale (2-0), Eastleigh (2-1) and Dorking (6-1) have cemented their spot in the Playoffs. Only Chesterfield has a better home record, with the Bees picking up 45 points in just 20 games at the Hive. In comparison, they've picked up 29 points in their 20 away games, having lost five of their last seven on their travels.
The Bees games have been entertaining, averaging 3.25 goals per game, with their away games seeing an average of 3.4.
The reverse fixture saw Barnet salvage a 1-1 draw after a 97th-minute Gary Hooper goal. Games between the sides have been evenly matched in the past, with Solihull Moors just edging the head-to-head record
Solihull Moors Wins: 4
Draws: 5
Barnet Wins: 3
Tahvon Campbell has struggled to settle down at a club since his move from Woking to Rochdale was unsuccessful. Since this he has played for Aldershot, Wealdstone and now Solihull Moors, showing considerable improvement at each.
In his 19 games at lowly Wealdstone, the 27-year-old scored six goals. Since joining the Moors, he has made nine starts, scoring seven goals. This includes goals in five of his last six matches. Playing against a Barnet side who have kept just four away clean sheets all season, he will fancy his chances of adding to his ever-growing tally.
Nicke Kabamba's opening goal in the 6-0 drubbing of Dorking was his 20th goal of the season and marked his most prolific goal-scoring season to date. He is currently the third top-scorer in the league behind Paul McCallum and Will Grigg. His goals will be crucial in the playoffs for The Bees.
