Stevenage sign Maidstone's Marshall

Stevenage have announced the signing of Ross Marshall following a stint at Maidstone United.

Defender/midfielder Marshall becomes the club's fourth close-season signing, as Stevenage look ahead to a 2020/21 season likely to be spent in the National League. The 20-year-old told the club's website:

“I am really excited to get it done. As soon as I heard the interest and came in to speak with the gaffer, I was on board right away, and I just want to get going now.”

Manager Alex Revell said of the former Ipswich Town youngster: “Ross is a player that we have had watched several times and has really impressed us.

"He is a strong, combative defensive midfielder, and someone that has real quality in his play."
