Woodside Road is set to host the game of the week, with 3rd place Southend making the trip to the South Coast to face 4th place Worthing. Read our betting tips and match preview below.
After returning for his third spell at the club last October, Adam Hinshelwood guided The Rebels to the National League for the first time in history. They've started life in the fifth division well, unbeaten in nine and come into the game fresh off an impressive 1-2 win at fellow promoted side Kidderminster.
With over 100 goals scored last season, Worthing are amongst Non-League's highest entertainers and have started this season in the same vein - scoring in every game, with their matches averaging 3.43 goals. They have also kept just three clean sheets in 14, but Hinshelwood's decision to revert to a hybrid 5-2-3/4-4-2 has reaped rewards, with on-loan star Corey Adjetey Brew in particular shining on the wing.
While Razaq Coleman De Graft continues to grab the headlines after his seventh goal of the season, Adjetey Brew has been the Rebels best player this campaign. The 18-year-old has had his loan from QPR extended until the New Years, news that is sure to delight the Woodside Road faithful. Traditionally deployed as a left back, Worthing's fluid formation and the introduction of Charlie Waller to left centre back, gives the teenager license to roam forward- scoring three in his last two starts.
A playoff berth and FA Trophy success wasn't enough to keep highly popular Kevin Maher in a job, with many Shrimpers fans feeling a change was perhaps needed to steer the club back into the EFL. Kieron Dyer was appointed as his successor and their games have certainly not been shy of entertainment, with BTTS landing in 13/14, with his side keeping just one clean sheet all season.
Southend are unbeaten away from home, picking up four wins and three draws, while scoring 18 and conceding eight, so an entertaining game should certainly be in store.
Signed in 2025 from National South Slough, Chambers-Parillon has been a revelation under Dyer. The 24-year-old has been deployed further forward and has scored seven league goals already this campaign. He is a player that will play in the EFL soon - with or without Southend.
Neither side has blanked yet this season, so goals look a shoe-in. As expected with both sides record, BTTS is priced as low as 1.36 but it gives a nice base to build on. With Southend having issues with squad depth and having to resort to subbing centre back Ben Goodliffe on upfront, compared to Worthing who are nine unbeaten, the hosts will be confident of avoiding defeat. A high scoring Rebels win or even a draw looks most likely.
Prediction: BTTS & Worthing Double Chance - 2.05
