2025 The Masked Singer Characters
The aim of The Masked Singer is to listen to the voice of the performer on stage to see if you can work out the voice underneath the mask.
Sounds simple, right? It is harder than you think. The performers are not necessarily professional singers, they are just in the entertainment industry. That is a lot of people to choose from. Some are easy, like the 2024 winner Danny Jones. I think a lot of people correctly guessed him straight away.
The 2025 Masked Singer was crowned on Saturday evening with Pufferfish the winner, while Dressed Crab was second with Wolf eliminated first in the final to end up in third place.
Pufferfish was brilliant, but we thought Wolf should have won. Only because we had guessed who it was very early in the series.
Wolf was eliminated after performing Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ and ‘With You I’m Born Again’ by Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright as he dueted with Claire Richards from Steps who was performing as Knitting from series 4.
When the mask was ‘taken off’, it was revealed to be Wet Wet Wet singer Marti Pellow. We guessed it early on and he was excellent. He broke protocol at the end by singing his number one hit ‘Love is all around’ from Love Actually.
Dressed Crab was the next to be eliminated after performing ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ by Bill Withers, ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ in a duet with Air Fryer - Keala Settle before performing his final song of ‘Are you gonna go my way’ by Lenny Kravitz.
Dressed Crab ended up being Grammy winning artist Gregory Porter. All the judges guessed this one. I didn’t guess this one because I still do not know who Gregory Porter is.
That left Pufferfish as the winner. She was probably the best singer on the night. She started off with the Britney Spears hit ‘Baby one more time’, before performing a duet with last year’s runner Danny Jones as Piranha as they sang ‘Total Eclipse of the heart’ by Bonnie Tyler.
Her final song that saw her win the competition was ‘One Night Only’ by Jennifer Hudson before unveiling her mask to reveal she was Samantha Barks. Her voice is amazing and she has wowed audiences as Elsa in the West End production of Frozen.
