  • Multiple alternatives available

  • Debit cards
  • Revolut unavailable at Bet365

What is Revolut?

This is a payment method that works via an app and via a physical card. It was founded in 2015 and has become better known in recent years. More and more betting sites are now listing Revolut as a payment method. But as you will see, there are a few notable exceptions to that situation.

Can you use Revolut at Bet365?

Unfortunately, no. Legislative changes made in the UK in 2020 meant that Revolut would no longer be included as a payment method across the online betting landscape.

You might be wondering how does Bet365 100% know what payment method is being used. Well, the block really comes from the Revolut end. Revolut has a gambling block put in place. This allows them to block any interaction with gambling companies and gives hem permission to block and cancel any payments intended to be used for betting.

If you hop across and read the Bet365 review here, though, you will know there are many other alternative methods to look at.

Does Revolut work at Bet365 for withdrawals?

No - Revolut is currently unavailable for deposits and withdrawals, although there are plenty of other options to choose from instead. I’ve given you some key options in this table. You can check out Bet365 to find out all the latest options listed there.

Key tip: Debit cards are fine to use but credit cards are not

UK legislation precludes the use of credit cards to fund any online betting account. You cannot rack up a balance on a debit card - you can only use the available funds already held on that card. Hence why you can use these to deposit at Bet365 but not credit cards.

How to find the best alternatives to Revolut on Bet365

Will it be PayPal at Bet365 for you or will you go for something modern like Apple Pay? Even though the Bet365 Revolut option you might have hoped for isn’t going to pan out, you don’t need to panic. There are plenty more payment methods listed at the bookmaker’s website. Before you choose one, it might be useful to think about a few pointers to help you narrow the options.

Consider how much you would like to deposit

Most of the available deposit methods only require a £5 minimum. They’re ideal if you are on a budget or you just want to make the lowest possible deposit whenever you want to place a bet or two. PayPal has a higher minimum of £25, and you’ll need to agree to a deposit of £100 or more if you choose the wire transfer option. This is the ‘slowpoke method’ as it takes between two and 10 days to transfer. Other methods are instant.

Consider whether you want an instant withdrawal or not

There is good news and more good news here though. Apple Pay is the only method providing instant withdrawal, but the remaining methods all confirm processing times of between one and four hours and no more. I’ve opted to go with PayPal at Bet365, and I’ve received my funds in around 90 minutes, I think. Obviously, there is scope for variation between withdrawals, but four hours max is pretty good even if you do need to wait that long.

There are no fees for any methods you might select as an alternative to Revolut on Bet365

It’s always great to see ‘free’ noted in the fees column for any deposits or withdrawals available at an online bookmaker. I’m able to confirm they charge no fees, so you can go with whatever method suits you best, without needing to take that into account.

Select a method you already have in action

If you’re all set up using Apple Pay, it makes sense to choose that. You might have an active PayPal account you can use instead. I think it makes sense to choose something you already use, rather than setting up something new which will take more time away from exploring the Bet365 bonuses and other features you can look at.

Finding an alternative to Revolut and Bet365

While you cannot use Revolut at the bookmaker at present, there are many other options you can consider should you decide to use the Bet365 website. I’d suggest looking at which payment methods you can use and seeing how many you already have set up. Select one of those for the most straightforward way to make all your transactions to and from the site. You can see how many possibilities have opened up as valid alternatives to Revolut on Bet365.
