Bethard review: Is it scam? Is it legal? Warning: Blacklisted
Bethard Free Spins
Bethard is an online sportsbook and casino with an emphasis on football. It used to be licensed in Malta and by the UK Gambling Commission. Keep reading to see what this means for your bets!
It has recently lost its license in the UK and is no longer available there, the United States or France. It still operates and has a fairly decent following. What worries us is the loss of the UK license. While our Bethard review is positive we’d suggest that you get an 888Sport bonus rather than get a Bethard bonus or any Bethard free spins. So there will be no need to use Bethard bonus code here!
Pro and Con
- Scandinavian run
- Decent sign up offer
- Attractive football odds
- Nice casino
Bethard free spins are where it’s at. When you first sign up before you make your first deposit you will get 25 Bethard free spins. Once you make your first deposit you will get another 25 Bethard free spins. You will also get 100% in matching funds on your first deposit of up to 100 euros. The welcome offer is only available to new customers who sign up from Norway, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Canada, New Zealand, Malta, Brazil, Chile, Nigeria, and Peru.
You can also get up to 50 euros in matching funds when you sign up for their sportsbook. Between the Bethard free spins and the matching funds, our Bethard review is generally positive. The limited number of countries where you can claim the Bethard free spins costs them a few points. The Bethard free spins make the sign up offer interesting.
Bethard looks super-cool. It has a black background and a yellow foreground. This makes it easy to read whether on your laptop or mobile device. Everything is well organized, and it just makes sense. What you have to click to do anything is intuitive. We give them a lot of credit for designing a site that looks and feels easy to like. it is one of the best-looking sites we’ve reviewed, even when you consider what we found in our Fun88 review and Pots of Luck reviews.
We give them a lot of credit for that in our Bethard review. They seem to have a strong sense of what they want to accomplish and then do what they can to get the job done. The full integration of the casino is well done, and you can go back and forth between that and the sportsbook easily.
Bethard will accept payments and process withdrawals through Visa, MasterCard, Neteller, Skrill, Trustly, and PaySafeCard.
It should be noted that payments from Neteller and Skrill will not count towards the welcome bonus — but this isn’t uncommon, as we’ve seen from time to time during our William Hill review, which also found William Hill to have stringent bonus payment terms.
Deposits tend to be made instantly There are no fees for them. And remember you can start claiming your Bethard free spins before you even make a deposit. Withdrawal to Visa and MasterCard can take up to five business days. Again, Bethard charges no fees for this. This is a positive in our Bethard review.
For the other methods of withdrawals, you should receive your money in a couple of hours. Again, with no fees involved. This is a fairly well set up service that we have no problems with. We see no problems with the way they have set up their deposit and withdrawal service and they should take credit where credit is due for that.
Payments are a huge factor in compiling our Betclic review, as well as our Bodog reviews.
Bethard has good customer service. You can contact them on live chat or through an email if you have a difficult question that will require you to submit documentation. Their live chat is available in multiple languages, not just English which we found refreshing. When we talked to them on live chat, they appeared in just a couple of seconds. They were able to answer all of our questions quickly and easily. When we sent them an email, we got a response back in a couple of hours which is fast for sportsbooks and casino emails.
In all of the cases, the answers we got were correct and they asked the right follow up questions. We give points for this in our Bethard review, and we also cover superior customer service in our Bovada review. They seem to know exactly what they are doing and how to get it down right every single time. The Bethard customer service team seems to be on the ball.
Bethard used to have licenses from both Malta and the UK Gambling Commission. They recently gave up their license in the UK. We could find no explanation for this online anywhere. That caused them to be banned from operating in the UK. We do not know what the issue was. Malta has similar rules as the UK so the site should be secure, and you should not have to worry about them cheating. To compare this to the licensing of other popular providers, check out our RubyBet safe and Is Netbet scam? guides.
As to security they use 128-bit encryption on both ends which is the highest commercially available encryption available. We give them high marks for that in our Bethard review, and you should check out our 10bet review as well. Of course, you are only as secure as you are on both ends so make sure to run an antivirus program on your computer.
Bethard has an invitation-only loyalty VIP program. They will not say on the site what the program consists of. That seems to be for the VIP players only to know. Still, it’s good that they have a VIP program because not all sites do. We imagine that there are a bunch of Bethard free spins included in the VIP program. There may also be a Bethard bonus code involved. We simply don’t know.
We do give them some points in our Bethard review just for having a VIP program. The Bethard free spins with no deposit show they care about their customers. As does the Bethard no deposit bonus. It’s clear that Bethard wants to reward their players with the best offers they can, and we have no doubt this extends to the Bethard loyalty program. We expect it to be good and perhaps finally give you a Bethard bonus code.
Bethard has an excellent sportsbook even if there is no Bethard bonus code. We are also impressed by the Bethard free spins on the casino side of things. The Bethard casino itself is wonderful. We have no idea why they gave up their license to operate in the UK but if you are in one of the countries they do operate in, you should give them a try. They offer an excellent service, exciting games and incredible odds on football.
