If you are a football fan who is looking for exciting promotions, join The Pools and take part in The Pools Goal Rush, where you stand a chance of winning up to £1 million from the prize pool.
Keep on reading as we dive deeper into this exciting promotion. We answer the question; “How does Goal Rush work at The Pools”, provide tips for making the most from their offer, and more.
Goal Rush is a pretty simple game of prediction. The Pools presents you with a list of 35 football fixtures for that week’s ties. These are often from a range of leagues (English Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two) as well as Scottish Premiership or Women’s Super League games.
You simply run down the list and tick off 8 games in which you think both sides will score one goal or more. If your predictions are all correct and there is no other person who also predicts the same, you will win the total prize pool, which can be up to £1 million. Each ‘line’ (a prediction of 8 games) is £2, and you can bet up to 10 lines.
All members of The Pools are eligible to enter and make their predictions. The offer is available whether playing The Pools desktop version or on The Pools app.
Entering The Pools Goal Rush is as simple as the offer itself. If you are a member of The Pools with a valid account and are over the age of 18, you are eligible to enter. Head to the Football Pools tab on the homepage of the website, select the option “Football Pools Goal Rush” and you’re good to go.
On the Goal Rush page, you will need to predict 8 games where both teams will score. Click on “Play Goal Rush” to make your predictions. When you have made one prediction, an ‘X’ will be placed next to that game to show it has been selected. Selections can be deselected if you change your mind and want to choose a different match from your list.
Once you have made your predictions, you just need to wait to see whether they are correct or not. To be a winner, both teams in all 8 matches you have selected must score one goal or more.
To win the £1 million jackpot, you must predict the 8 fastest matches where both teams score. This is based on the times of the goals scored. So, a match where both teams scored in the first 5 minutes is classified as a faster game than one in which an opponent scored an equaliser in the 90th minute of a 1-1 draw.
If any of the 35 matches are postponed or abandoned, a replacement match will be used. A full list of replacement matches will be published before every Goal Rush competition. You can learn more in our full The Pools Review.
The prizes and winning amount of Goal Rush at The Pools will be determined by a few factors – the number of players who correctly predicted all 8 matches, and the speed of goals in those games.
If you are the only player to correctly predict all 8 matches where both teams score, then you win the total prize pool. Returns are generally higher when not many of the 35 matches end with both teams scoring.
If nobody correctly predicts 8 matches where both teams score, the prize money will roll over to the next Goal Rush competition. The way in which you will receive your winnings will depend on the means of entry you made, and winnings will be paid no later than 7 days after the last match in the competition is played.
Place a bet of £5+ or more on Top Assists and get £1 free bet for every assist your chosen player makes in the tournament. This applies to first bet placed on this market only, and is valid once per customer. Your Free bets will be credited the day after the tournament has ended and expires 7 days after being awarded.
Although Goal Rush at The Pools is based on pure luck and there is no way of telling whether you will win or not, there are a few things you can do to make sure you get the most out of your experience. The results will be determined by the matches played and although you can choose the favourites to win, there is always a chance that the underdog could take it.
Many factors will affect the matches, these include home advantage, the weather, player injuries and whether the manager might rest players for important upcoming matches. Here are a few tips to consider when making your Pool's Goal Rush predictions.
