This is a massive game for both sides and could determine the outcome of their finishing spots and I think I have a good idea of his this one will play out. I will bring you my betting suggestion at the end of the article but lets take a look at both of the sides first.

Current League leaders Arsenal are playing some seriously good football at the moment and it’s going to be a mammoth task to get them beat this weekend if they turn up in the same form. They were of course unlucky not to win the league last season but they have improved since then and wont want to let the lead slip this time around. They have Man City and Liverpool chasing them down and all three teams play this weekend so it will be interesting to see the table at the end of Sunday. Either way, Arsenal will be hard to beat this Sunday.

Aston Villa have been a much improved outfit this seasons and they are chasing Champions League Football this season. They are currently sat in fifth position and won’t want to be dropping any points this weekend if they are to secure fourth spot. They have been playing some very stylish football creating plenty of chances but can they break down an Arsenal team who are flying this season? That is the question. They definitely have a strong enough squad to cause Arsenal problems and this is going to be a very tense game to watch unfold.

Head to Head

In the head to heads between these two Arsenal have been largely dominant but they did get beat on their latest visit to Villa Park in December and that makes this game even more interesting. The game ended in a 1 nil victory for Aston Villa and that will give them plenty of confidence going into this game. There may be 11 points difference between them in the table, but this game is going to be extremely exciting to watch.

The final game of the weekend could be the best fixture of the lot and I can’t wait to see how this game plays out. Arsenal have been playing some seriously good football but they did get beat last time against Aston Villa and will need to be better at home this week. Either way, we have two teams absolutely thriving and this is going to be a really good game to watch.

Our Betting Tip for Today

After looking at both teams you can easily make a case for both sides and even though the betting has this very much pointing towards Arsenal, I don’t know if that is quite going to be the case. Arsenal are 2/7 to win here whilst Aston Villa are a double figure price at 10/1 and that could be a little big considering the form they are in. It’s been a good season for both sides and Aston Villa have outweighed their expectation but it doesn’t mean they can’t get something out of this game against the league leaders and I expect a really good game.

The best game of the weekend may be the last on the fixture list and both teams are desperate for the 3 points here. Arsenal have been in seriously good form all season and wont want to let their good form slip but they are going to be i a right battle this weekend with Aston Villa who beat Arsenal the last time they met. I do think Arsenal are the most likely winners but at 2/7 I think we can find some better value to look at.

Aston Villas form has been good lately and not only did they beat Arsenal when they las met, but they also come into this after beating Lille 2-1 and they will have plenty of confidence themselves. There for me is too much of a gap between the prices of these two teams and perhaps the way to go would be for both teams to share the spoils. 9/ for the Draw is very tempting when both teams are desperate for the points and both teams are playing very good football. I think the bookies have this a little wrong and the 9/2 value on the draw looks very good to me.
