Arsenal cannot afford to drop any points on Wednesday if they are to remain in the hunt for the Premier League title.
Luton Town need the points for a completely different reason as they look to avoid being relegated back to the Championship at the first attempt.
Arsenal have not tasted defeat in the Premier League since they suffered a shock 2-1 loss away at Fulham back in December.
That nine game streak has seen them keep pace with the other title contenders, although their goalless draw against Manchester City on Sunday saw an eight-game winning streak come to an end.
The draw against City was also the first time since December 28th that they had failed to find the back of the net.
Gabriel Martinelli will be hoping to start the game after returning on the bench against City after recovering from a cut on his leg.
Arsenal’s only real injury loss is Jurrien Timber who is still out with a knee problem.
Despite being in the relegation places, Luton Town have been like a breath of fresh air in the Premier League this season.
They were expected to fail miserably this season and already be relegated before Easter. They are not done yet and they continue to show that fighting spirit that could keep them up.
Their problem is holding on to a lead, if they can manage to solve that problem then they should be fine. They took the lead against Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur in recent matches and went on to lose both games.
The Hatters have a lot of injury problems heading into this game and the remainder of the season. Tahith Chong, Alfie Doughty and Reece Burke are fresh injury concerns, while Chiedozie Ogbene, Mads Andersen, Amari’i Bell and Elijah Adebayo are still on the injured list.
Albert Sambi Lokonga is on loan at Luton Town from Arsenal, so he is ineligible to play on Wednesday evening.
Arsenal and Luton Town have met on 33 occasions with the Gunners winning 17 of them and the Hatters claiming just eight.
These two met earlier in the season in December with Arsenal winning 4-3 at Kenilworth Road thanks to a 90th minute winner from Declan Rice.
That game in December was the first time these two had met in the top-flight since 1991. Their last meeting before this season saw the Hatters win 1-0.
Luton Town have not won at Arsenal since they recorded a 3-0 victory back in 1959.
Luton came close to taking at least a point off Arsenal in their last meeting, but the finish line is in sight for the Gunners and they cannot afford to be dropping points at home. Check out the stats ahead of Arsenal versus Luton Town and also the best betting odds before kick-off.
Our Betting Tip for Today- Gabriel Martinelli to score 2+ goals – 11/2 @ The Pools
As expected, Arsenal are clear favourites to win the game at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners can be backed at 1/10. Luton Town are available at 20/1 with the draw on offer at 10/1.
With Martinelli fully fit again, we expect him to start the game against Luton Town.
The Brazil international has scored six goals in the Premier League this season and scored against Sheffield United on his last start for the club at the beginning of March.
We expect him to replace Gabriel Jesus in the starting line-up and he will be more of an attacking threat. His pace will be too much for the Hatters and we are backing him to score at least two goals in a comfortable win for the Gunners.
Victory for Arsenal will see them go back to the top of the league for a short while at least as Liverpool entertain bottom club Sheffield United on Thursday night.
