Burnley welcome Bournemouth to Turf Moor for the 1pm Kick-off on Sunday and it’s a very important game for both teams currently in the bottom half of the table. Burnley are 27/10 to win at home and they could really do with the three points here as they sit 19th in the table.
Bournemouth currently sit 14th in the league and they are a shade of odds on at 19/20 to win away from home. Let’s get into it and take a look at both of the sides.
Burnley find themselves with a huge task ahead of trying to climb out of the relegation zone, but they are currently 11 points from safety and it is looking very unlikely that they are going to stay up at the end of the season. They have lost their last three games and haven’t looked to have any creativity so it’s hard to see them finding any form in this fixture too. They are really up against it here.
Bournemouth haven’t won in their last 7 Premier League games but they are playing decent football and should have enough to beat Burnley here. They have decent attacking options when they get their chances and should prove too strong for their rivals. It hasn’t been the best season for Bournemouth but a win here would put them in a solid position and clear of the relegation zone
The head to heads are very close between these two teams and probably aren’t the best stats to look at if you are trying to find your winner of this fixture. What is interesting though is these two haven’t drawn a game when meeting each other in their last 10 so it looks to be going one way or the other!
I am actually quite looking forward to this game because Burnley are going to have to put it all on the line to try and find some points from somewhere, but this could just open up the game for Bournemouth. It is hard to make a case for the home team here because they haven’t played the best football and it’s hard to see that turning around anytime soon.
For my betting suggestion today I am just going to use the outright market. I think we have enough evidence to see which way this game is going and even though neither team are in great form at the minute, there is a big difference between the two teams and I can only see this going one way.
I really wanted to try and make a case for Burnley this week but they really have been underwhelming and the lack of attacking options make it difficult to see them getting a result here. Bournemouth have been far from prolific themselves of late but the football they play is much more solid and I think they are going to be very hard to beat this weekend.
They have good attacking options and have a solid midfield too which I think will lead to them dominating possession. I think Burnley will give this a good go for the early stages of the game but as soon as Bournemouth get control of the game, they will prove too strong and take all three points away from home.
