Burnley welcome Everton to Turf Moor for the late kick off on Saturday in what looks an important game for both sides. The two teams find themselves near the bottom of the table at the minute but one of these two sides are clearly playing better football and I think this fixture only goes one way.
Burnley have opened up at 13/5 to win at home whilst Everton are just odds against at 11/10 to win away at Turf Moor. I have a prediction for this fixture but let’s take a look at the two teams first.
Burnley have let in more goals than any other team this season but they are sacrificing that by trying to find goals at the other end but this is proving difficult at the minute. They may have some sort of confidence coming into this fixture being at home and they managed to get a decent 1-1 draw away to Brighton in their latest start so there's hope for a turning point. That being said they will need to sharpen things up in defence.
Everton have really impressed me this season with their form on the pitch and they are going to be tough to beat despite being away this weekend. They are on a 3 run win streak and I think they have every chance of making it 4 this weekend and that would put a nice healthy gap between themselves and the relegation zone. I expect another good performance from them this week.
The head to head between Burnley and Everton are very close. The home team have won four, drawn one, whilst Everton have won the other five in the last 10 meetings between these two slides so that would give you an idea of how competitive these games have been in recent years. For this season however, there has been a clear difference in the quality of the two sides and the head to heads wouldn’t really be too useful in helping you make your selections this week.
Burnley are really struggling this season and they have a tough game again this weekend against Everton who are clearly thriving on the pitch at the minute. I am going to use the outright market to make my betting suggestion for this week.
Burnley are going to be up for this after a good draw away at Brighton last week but they are coming up against an Everton side who are playing very good football at the minute. This should be a decent game to watch.
Burnley are going to be quite tough to break down at the back however I have been really impressed with Everton's football of late and I think ultimately they will prove too strong for Burnley. The 11/10 is a short price however I think the away side are good value for it and will be tough to beat this week.
