There is never a dull fixture between these two and both teams come into this week off the back of good performances so we should be in for a cracker! I have some betting predictions for this London Derby, but before we get onto those, let’s take a look at both of the two teams.

Chelsea had started the season quite slowly, but they have picked up the pace in recent weeks and have won their last two games both away from home. That hasn’t been the problem though for Chelsea. The home form has been poor so hopefully on the back of two wins away from home, they can make their presence felt back at Stamford Bridge. They sit five points away from the European football spots at this point and will be desperate to get something out of this week’s game.

Arsenal have continued their strong form from last season and are currently unbeaten in their eight premier league games to date. They could hardly be coming into this week in better form after finally getting the better of current champions Man City 1-0 at home two weeks ago, and will be very hard to beat this week despite being away from home. They seemed to have found their groove early and very much look the likeliest winner of the two in my opinion.

Head to Head

These two teams have a fascinating head to head record and it always feels like there's more on offer than just the three points when it comes to this London Derby. That being said the head to head is heavily in the favour of Arsenal who have won five of the last six meetings between these two sides and with the current form of Arsenal, they are going to be very hard to beat once again. Chelsea are in form, but they are going to need to find something special to beat Arsenal this season as they are a team in really good form.

Having had a look at both teams, I think they will both be coming into this fixture feeling confident about their own chances but to me there is a clear difference in quality with these two sides this year. With that being said, I have got some strong betting tips for the outcome of this big London Derby and one thing is for sure, we are in for a belter!

Chelsea have opened up as the 11/5 outsiders to win at home with Ladbrokes whilst Arsenal are 5/4 to take all 3 points from Stamford Bridge. I do think Chelsea will have their moments in this game, but they do not seem to possess the same attacking options and this concerns me against a side like Arsenal. To be confident in Chelsea getting a result here you need to be sure they are going to create enough goal scoring opportunities and this is something they have lacked in recent week’s so I do see a Chelsea win to be very unlikely at this point.

Arsenal have shown us that they can play out from the back, and have also become a dominant force in midfield with plenty of attacking options in front of them. I think they are going to be extremely hard to beat despite being away from home and the 5/4 on offer with Ladbrokes is plenty of value for this Saturday’s big fixture.
