Crystal Palace welcome the current champions Manchester City to Selhurst Park for the early Kick-off on Saturday and this is going to be a tough game for the home side. Crystal Palace have opened up at 9/1 whilst the visitors are 1/3 to take all of three points back to the Etihad. The draw is 4/1 but even that is going to be a tough ask for Crystal Palace and they are going to need a fair bit of luck to get a result here. I have some betting suggestions to take a look at but first of all, let’s take a look at both sides.

Crystal Palace started this season well but in recent weeks they have really started to struggle on the pitch and have only picked up 2 points from a possible 12 in their last four games. They can play some very good football at times and the squad they have on paper doesn’t look too bad either but they will really need to turn it round if they are to get anything out of this game. They are coming into this fixture off the back of a 1-0 loss to Bournemouth and they are really up against it here.

Manchester City may not be at their brilliant best but they are still in pretty good form and will take the world of beating this weekend. They were really impressive against Aston Villa in the week storming to a 4-1 victory and a repeat performance of that will see them as the most likely winners here once again. The problem Crystal Palace have against Man City is that if they do get the chance to attack, then this just opens up the game even more for Manchester City and it’s hard to see them beat.

Head to Head

The head to heads are quite heavily on the side of Man Cty having won 6 of the last 10 meetings between the two sides. Crystal Palace have won on one occasion but this was when Man City went down to 10 men and you can definitely look at that result as a bit of a one off. The previous meetings between these two sides also suggest that Man City are the most likely winners again here.

I am really looking forward to watching this fixture on Saturday because it really sets up a good day of football and despite Man City being heavy favourites, they are always entertaining to watch. We should see plenty of goals in this game and it will be interesting to see how Crystal Palace set up against the Champions.

For my betting suggestion I’m going to look at the correct score market. Despite Man City looking the most likely winners, there isn’t much value in their price and it’s worth taking a chance on something a bit bigger especially with the probability of a few goals in this game.

I always try to make a case for both teams but this fixture does look very one sided and it could just be a case of how many goals for Man City. They have a full squad for this match and come into this game off the back of an impressive midweek performance.

Crystal Palace on the other hand have really struggled lately and would need a drastic turn of events to get anything out of this game. Man City have been scoring plenty of goals, they put four past Aston Villa in the week and I can see them doing the same against Palace. I will go for a 4-0 Man City win as my betting suggestion for this week at a very tempting 14/1.
