We have an interesting game to kick off Monday night football as Crystal Palace welcome Manchester United to Selhurst Park for the 8pm Kick Off. Crystal Palace are in fine form so much so that they are currently 5/4 favourites to beat Manchester United despite being behind them in the league table.
You can get 5/2 for the Draw, but for a Manchester United away win you can get a very tempting 19/10. Both teams have been in good form and Manchester United will be desperate for 3 points here as they try close in on European Football. It’s a fascinating contest and I have a betting suggestion for you but let’s take a look at the two teams first.
Crystal Palace are currently sat in 14th place in the Premier League but they are enjoying a fine period of good form and it’s not surprising to see the bookies react with caution ahead of Monday night’s fixture. Crystal Palace are now unbeaten in their last four games having won three in a row against Liverpool, West Ham, Newcastle and then in their latest game they drew away from home against Fulham. They are playing some seriously good football in recent weeks and it would be no surprise to see them cause Man United plenty of problems in this fixture.
For the amount of criticism Manchester United have had this season they are managing to pick up points and they would actually go 5th with a win here against Crystal Palace. Manchester United are also unbeaten in their last four games but their record consists of three Draws and a win. They may be struggling to get across the line but they are also very hard to beat and have frustrated a lot of teams this season. Although Crystal Palace are favourites here, I don’t think it’s quite as clear cut as the bookies suggest. Manchester United have plenty in their favour for this game and could be hard to beat despite being away from home.

Long Term the head to heads between these two sides is heavily in favour of Manchester United but Crystal Palace have won two of the last four League meetings between the two sides and also won when they last met back in September so you can see why the bookies fancy the home team this week. Manchester United though have been very tough to beat lately and this could be a close encounter at the end of the 90 minutes.
This should be a really good game to sit and watch because there are plenty of variables that you can take into account for this game's outcome. Crystal Palace have a decent record recently and are playing very good football but how long can they keep this up for that is the question. They are good enough to cause Manchester United problems again, but it’s not given that they are going to take all the three points this week because apart from their recent run of good form, they have hardly been the most consistent side.
Now that I have had a look at both teams I have come up with a betting suggestion that could be worth a punt. Crystal Palace as mentioned have found some brilliant form but this will be difficult to sustain and the 5/4 does seem a little short based on season long credentials. I am going to use the outright market to make my betting suggestion this week.
As you can probably tell I’m really excited to sit down and watch this game on Monday evening and I think it will be an entertaining one from start to finish. I see a lot of people including the bookies making a strong case for Crystal Palace here due to their recent form but to me the 5/4 on offer is way too short. They are playing at home and are unbeaten in four games but I think this will be a really difficult game for them and I think Manchester United will frustrate them as the game goes along. Manchester United may be playing quite defensive looking football but they are getting results and this is a huge 3 points on offer in this game. They are chasing down European Football and it would be no surprise to me if they were able to get a result away from home. I think at 19/10, a Manchester United win is the play.
