Everton play host to Aston Villa this Sunday and I am really looking forward to this fixture.
They have opened up quite close in the betting with Everton at 7/4 to take the win at home, whilst Aston Villa are slightly shorter at 7/5 to win on their visit to Goodison Park. Both teams set up for some good football and we’re get on to some betting suggestions once we have had a look at both teams.
It’s been a tough season for Everton with the deductions of points but they are still playing some very good football and are outside of the relegation zone currently. That being said they have lost their last 3 games and will need a return to form to try and keep as much distance between themselves and that bottom three.
Aston Villa are the surprise package this season and a win here could see them go top of the table with Liverpool. They have been playing some seriously good football this season and they are very creative up front. Not only are they creating plenty of chances but they are finishing them too and they will be hard to beat if they turn up in similar form.
Everton have beaten Aston Villa just once in their last 10 Premier League meetings and Aston Villa are in incredible form this season so Everton have it all to do. Everton as mentioned will need to find some form this week but prior to their previous three defeats, they were in good form and a return to that sort of performance would give them a shout.
Everton have struggled in their last three starts and will need to find some of their early season form to beat Aston Villa here who could potentially go top here. They have been potent in front of goal and they will be tough to beat.
There is a big difference in league position between these two teams but they do play a similar style of football. It is a big week for Villa as they are looking to go top whilst Everton need a result to keep them out of the relegation zone. This should be an exciting match.
I think if Everton were in the same form they were in back in November I would give them a big chance here however Aston Villa are much improved this year and will be very hard to beat.
They have really improved in their defense and have been deadly in front of goal at the same time. I think the 7/5 for them to win outright is very good value and they get my vote for an outright win this weekend.
