Two teams that have been deep in a relegation battle all season face off at Goodison Park. A series of recent good results have pulled the duo towards safety, but both will be keen to ensure more points to make it mathematically safe.
Electric Everton
13 Premier League matches without a win threatened to end Everton's lifelong stay in the top division, but three wins and three clean sheets from four have seen the Toffees crawl to safety, knowing a win this weekend keeps them mathematically safe.
Wednesday night was the perfect example of the siege mentality employed by Everton, helping them escape difficult situations. Goodison Park was rocking from minute one as the Blue side of Merseyside defeated their arch-nemesis on the red side. This followed up a controversial 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest, with the 6-0 drubbing by Chelsea long forgotten about.
The Toffees defence has been a major reason for their survival, with Jordan Pickford second in the golden glove rankings with 11 clean sheets.
Buzzing Bees
Brentford, like Everton, have had a resurgence in recent weeks and are now five matches unbeaten, drawing with Manchester United, Brighton and Aston Villa, before convincing wins over Sheffield United and Luton.
Thomas Frank's side are now ten points clear of 18th place Luton and ten points off the top half so The Bees have nothing to play for. Defensively, Brentford have been very weak, with the absence of David Raya felt hard. This coupled with a host of injuries has seen Brentford fail to hit last season's heights, where they finished just outside the European places.
Going forward, Brentford have been strong despite the unavailability of Ivan Toney for large periods of the season. The Bees have scored in eight of their last nine matches.

Since Brentfords promotion to the Premier League, they've faced Everton six times. The Toffees have won three of these, with Brentford winning two and there being one draw. The meeting earlier in the season saw Everton win 1-3 in a feisty encounter.
As mentioned, Everton has been strong defensively, with Brentford struggling to keep the ball out of their net. Brentford have also been significantly stronger than Everton going forward, scoring 16 goals more than Saturday's hosts.
While both aren't mathematically safe yet, both sides have things still to fight for. Everton have the possibility of more points deductions hanging over their head, so Sean Dyche will be keen to ensure they leave nothing to chance.
Brentford will want to finish as high as possible in the table and attempt to leapfrog West London rivals Fulham.
Everton are averaging 2.20 cards per game, drawing 1.64 cards per game, including nine in their last four.
Brentford averages 2.44 cards per game, with their opponents receiving 2.20 cards per game.
Refereeing this affair is Darren England, who has shown an average of 5.1 cards per Premier League game. He has shown ten cards in the two Brentford games he has officiated this season.
An extra caveat to the bet is that the reverse fixture saw both teams receive two cards.
