The Premier League continues this weekend, with one matchday left before the international break. For today’s betting tip, we’ll be focusing on the important fixture in the Premier League this weekend between Everton and Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park.
After a successful start to his Everton tenure, things may have turned sour for Rafa Benitez on Merseyside. His side are four games without a victory - suffering three losses straight in the process. Many fans are calling for his head and they are facing a likely reinvigorated Spurs side.
To partner their poor form, Everton have some key figures absent through injuries. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is ruled out indefinitely with a thigh injury, Abdoulaye Doucoure is likely to be unavailable till after the international break, and Yerry Mina won’t feature again.
Much like Everton, Tottenham have been on a dire run of form and this was compounded by their dismal showing against Manchester United last weekend. However, fans will be hopeful of a new dawn when Antonio Conte takes charge of his inaugural game as Spurs boss this weekend.
For his first game, Conte will be without Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon but the Italian has a relatively full squad to choose from for this weekend's encounter.
Everton will take some hope from their recent success against Tottenham Hotspur. They avoided defeat in both league games last season, as well as winning a thrilling 5-4 encounter in the cup at Goodison Park.
However, this fixture could spell a new dawn for Tottenham Hotspur football club with Conte at the Helm. Conte will be looking to end Spurs’ run at Goodison Park. The lilywhites haven’t secured a victory against the blue merseyside since 2018.
Despite Everton’s success in recent times, with the new managerial appointment combined with Everton’s rotten injury luck to top players, we would lean towards a Tottenham Hotspur victory for this game. And you can get good odds for a Spurs win. We’re predicting Tottenham to win at 6/4 with Betfred.
