The Championship is back this weekend, with action on Friday and Saturday. Louie Truman has selected four teams for this weekend's football tips accumulator, with all four selections available through BetMGM, where you can also check out the latest Championship odds.
Derby County host Bolton under the lights at Pride Park for Friday's fixture. The Rams have had a poor start to the current campaign; Derby currently sit second from bottom with one win, four draws and nine losses. Heading into the season, supporters would have had high expectations after their side finished eighth last season, but they could easily find themselves in a relegation battle if things don't pick up.
John Eustace's side have lost four of their last five, which includes a 4-1 loss at Millwall followed by a 4-0 home loss against Norwich City. Derby have been poor at the back; the Rams are averaging two goals conceded per 90.
On the other hand, Bolton comes into this fixture on the back of a 1-0 away win against Charlton. Sam Dalby scored in the 18th minute, which secured Wanderers all three points. Bolton will aim to build on Tuesday's win against Charlton, and I can see them overcoming an out-of-form Derby side.
Birmingham face Swansea on Saturday, and I think over 2.5 goals is a good option. Birmingham and Swansea have had a great start to the season, with both sides sitting inside the play-off places. The Blues have an excellent recent record at St Andrew's, scoring ten goals in their last three home games.
August Priske is the club's top goal scorer with six goals; the Danish striker has been a real threat going forward, causing plenty of problems for teams. However, he recently picked up a muscle injury, so he's not expected to start against the Swans. Swansea have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, with just one win in their last four. Vítor Matos will aim for his side to bounce back against Birmingham after they conceded two late goals in stoppage time in their 3-1 loss against Portsmouth.
Birmingham have lots of quality going forward; Swansea are also capable of finding the net, and I think both sides will create plenty of chances on Saturday. The Blues have been scoring goals for fun at home recently, while Swansea have struggled defensively in their last few matches. I can see this being an entertaining game with goals at both ends, so over 2.5 goals looks like the best bet for me.
Sheffield United travel to the Valley on Saturday, and I can see the Blades securing three consecutive wins. Charlton has been poor recently, securing just two points from their last six matches. Nathan Jones' side have lost four in a row, and they've scored just four goals in their last six.
The Blades come into this fixture on the back of an impressive 3-2 away win against Preston, with Sydie Peck scoring his first senior hat-trick. Charlton have conceded an average of two goals per game across their last six fixtures, which is another concern heading into Saturday's match. Sheffield United have plenty of attacking options, and I expect them to cause problems for the home defence.
West Brom will look to continue their impressive run of form when they welcome Millwall to The Hawthorns on Saturday. James Morrison's side are unbeaten in their last five Championship matches, picking up 11 points from a possible 15, including an impressive 3-1 away win at West Ham.
The Baggies have lost just once at home this season, and Jimmy-Jay Morgan has been one of their standout players, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 16 appearances.
Millwall have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, losing three of their last five matches. Alex Neil's side suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Birmingham City on Tuesday, and the Lions have one of the worst defensive records in the league.
