Manchester City have the chance to go top of the Premier League – if only for a brief time – as the race for the title looks set to go down to the wire.

Fulham are safe from relegation and cannot push on for a place in the Europe, so they only really have pride to play for.

Fulham have a big part to play in the Premier League title race. They could suffer a heavy defeat at the hands of City and move the Blues a step closer to a fourth successive title win, or they could help Arsenal in their push for the championship trophy.

It's not clear how the Fulham fans would feel helping the Gunners win the Premier League, but it is a possibility if they frustrate City.

The Cottagers have failed to win any of their last three Premier League matches with two draws and one defeat. Their last victory on home soil was a 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. They can turn it on against the so-called big teams when they want to.

Fulham’s only major injury concern is a knock to Harrison Reed. It is uncertain how long he will be on the sidelines, but he is out of the game against Manchester City.

It is hard to back against this City team. They are in second place, a point behind Arsenal with a game in hand. The smart money would be on City winning their remaining three matches to be crowned champions.

Stranger things have happened, but we cannot see City dropping any points in their three games against Fulham, Spurs and West Ham United.

City have not lost a game in the Premier League in 2024. Their last defeat was a 1-0 loss away at Aston Villa in December.

Since then they have gone 20 games unbeaten with 16 victories and four draws. They are currently on a six-game winning streak.

The Blues, who have scored 20 goals in their last five matches, have no real injury concerns with the likes of Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and John Stones all expected to start.

Fulham and Manchester City have met 55 times with City winning 34 of them with 11 draws. These two met in September with Haaland scoring a second-half hat-trick in a 5-1 win.

Fulham have lost their last 15 meetings in all competitions against City. The last time they did not lose was a 2-2 draw back in 2011.

The last time the Cottagers took three points off City was in 2009 when Fulham won 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium with Clint Dempsey scoring twice.
