Promotion-chasing Leeds United will be searching for their fifth consecutive victory in the Championship when they take on Huddersfield Town at Elland Road this weekend, with the visitors also coming into the tie off the back of some good results over recent weeks. Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has seen his team move to within just a single point of the league leaders of late, with automatic promotion now being realistic, with just 10 matches remaining. Ahead of kick-off on Saturday, we will take a close look at the match-up, as well as delivering our expert betting tip.
Leeds United Analysis
A 4-0 win away at Hull City last time out handed Leeds their fourth straight win in the second tier of English football, with the Whites now also having not conceded a single goal in doing so. Leeds are now five points clear of Fulham in third place, with a return to the Premier League now looking realistic come the end of the campaign. Bielsa is still not 100% happy with how things are going Yorkshire, however their attractive style of play has gained them many plaudits this season. January signing Jean-Kevin Augustin is still awaiting his first start for the club, with Tyler Roberts pushing for a place in the starting XI, following his two goals against Hull last time out. Elsewhere, another January transfer, Ian Poveda, could be named on the bench on Saturday, before potentially making his debut against the Terriers.
Huddersfield Town Analysis
Despite sitting 17th in the standings, Huddersfield Town will make the short trip to Elland Road this weekend quietly confident of recording a positive result, having picked up six points in matches against Bristol City and Charlton Athletic over recent weeks. Manager Danny Cowley is seemingly starting to get his message across after taking charge back in September last year. Striker Karlan Grant scored two goals against Charlton last weekend, while on-loan Arsenal midfielder Emil Smith-Rowe is likely to be another name to look out for as far as the visitors are concerned.
Head To Head Analysis
Leeds ran out 2-0 winners at the John Smith’s Stadium earlier in the season, with second half goals from Ezgjan Alioski and Pablo Hernandez having helped them along the way. However, Huddersfield had previously won three consecutive matches against their rivals, a run which includes a 4-1 win at Elland Road in March 2016. All in all, there is little to separate the two teams in terms of their head-to-head record, with Huddersfield Town having won eight of their 17 matches, while Leeds have seven successes to their name..
Attackers to Come Out on Top
There has never been a goalless draw between Leeds United and Huddersfield Town, while the last five matches between the duo have produced 13 goals. As a result, betting on there being over 2.5 goals during the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon is a betting market worth considering, especially at odds of 1.80 from bookmaker Coral.

Our betting tip for today
Our top betting tip for the match between Leeds United and Huddersfield Town this weekend is to bet on a home victory, which is available at appealing odds of 1.37 with bookmaker Betway. Leeds have won their last four matches in the Championship, while their form in front of goal has also been impressive. The visitors are still a work in progress under manager Cowley, with a trip to Elland Road potentially seeing their winning streak coming to an end.
