The Premier League returns this weekend, with plenty of fixtures to excite fans as the international break concludes. For today’s betting tip, we’ll be focusing on the important fixture in the Premier League this weekend between Leicester City and Manchester United at the King Power Stadium.
The international break came at the perfect time for Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City. The Foxes have one win in seven in all competitions. These results have seen Leicester slump to 13th and they’ll be looking to refind form when they face Manchester United at the King Power.
Even though they need to break their poor form, Leicester are without some key men for Saturday’s fixture. James Justin and Wesley Fofana are out for extended periods. Whilst Wilfred Ndidi is sidelined for five weeks so he will be unavailable for the weekend’s game.
Much like Leicester, Manchester United were uninspiring before the international break arrived. They needed a late goal to defeat West Ham United, before a loss and a draw to Aston Villa and Everton respectively. The Red Devils are still fourth but need to find victories soon.
However, Manchester United have injury problems of their own. Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire are likely to miss out. Whilst Marcus Rashford could make it back in time to feature after his shoulder issues.
Though Manchester United have the better of Leicester historically, the Foxes have caused the Red Devils problems in recent seasons. Last year, the two teams faced off three times, and Leicester were on the winning side on two occasions.
However, Brendan Rodgers’ side do not have a good record at the King Power. They haven’t managed a win at home against Manchester United since 2014. They’ll also be looking to snap their woeful record of 20 straight games against Manchester United without a clean sheet.
These two teams seem difficult to separate due to their injury issues. Both sides have fitness issues defensively, whilst the two teams are on a poor run of games. However, goals should be guaranteed for both sides. These two have both scored on the last three occasions and this shouldn’t change on Saturday. We’re therefore predicting a draw with both teams to score with Ladbrokes at 16/5.
