Leicester host Chelsea as the Premier League returns after the international break. Winless in four, the Foxes need to start getting some points on the board if they remain out of the relegation zone, while Chelsea are flying high in third spot.
After back-to-back victories against Southampton and Bournemouth, which lifted Leicester out of the bottom three, three defeats and a draw against Ipswich have followed. One of those defeats came in the EFL Cup, but conceding five against Manchester United won't have improved the confidence in the dressing room.
And neither did defeat against rivals Nottingham Forest, who put three past them in their own backyard. Steve Cooper has yet to win over the fanbase, and although this is another difficult task, the Welshman will soon be under the pressure if his team slips back into the relegation zone during the Festive period.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are having an excellent campaign. With just one Premier League defeat to their names - Liverpool away - Enzo Maresca has converted his team into winners. After beating Newcastle at home, draws against Manchester United and Arsenal have followed.
While Chelsea fans may expect their team to compete with the likes of these clubs, the Chelsea of last season would no doubt have struggled, showing a huge amount of improvement within the squad. A win could put them one point behind Man City after almost a third of the season, which is something the supporters would have taken if asked at the beginning of the season.
These two sides last locked horns in the FA Cup quarter-finals back in March 2023, where Chelsea came out on top 4-2. The London based club have actually won four of the last five head-to-heads, drawing the other, and will once again fancy themselves to brush the Foxes to one side.
There's no surprise to see that Cole Palmer was on the scoresheet when they last faced, and the England international already has seven Premier League goals to his name from 11 appearances. Keeping him quiet is a task not many can figure out, but that will be Cooper's job this weekend.
Leicester will be hoping their moderate home form can earn them a valuable point when Chelsea come to town. Having only lost two of their six home matches across all competitions, only Forest and Aston Villa have left the King Power Stadium with maximum points. Both Tottenham and Everton had to settle for a point.
Yet Chelsea's away record in the Premier League has been solid. Wins against Wolves, Bournemouth, Chelsea, as well as a draw at Old Trafford, have shown they are a different animal this season.
Maresca has created a team filled with confidence, and he'll know his team have the edge over Leicester.
With Leicester struggling in recent weeks and with Chelsea battling at the other end of the table, we can expect the Blues to return to winning ways while Cooper continues to try and hold onto his job.
Chelsea have been very impressive this season. Many pundits wrote them off due to their large squad and poor campaign, but under the former Leicester City head coach they have flourished in the first third of the season.
Having secured plenty of points on the road, Chelsea won't be intimidated by Leicester and their fans, and the more the hosts attack, that plays perfectly into their hands. With so much pace on the break, the visitors have numerous players who can pick the hosts off - and expect Cole Palmer to once again be at the heart of it.
Not only has the 22-year-old scored seven goals, but he's also provided five assists. Pulling the strings in the no.10 role, Palmer can dictate this game and help secure the points for his team.
For Palmer to find the back of the net and Chelsea to win, bet365 are offering a rather generous 6/4, and it's one we do enjoy in this column. If it's not broke, there's no need to fix it, and Cole can give Cooper a sleepless night with another convincing victory.
