Intro
Manchester City welcome Crystal Palace to the Etihad on Saturday afternoon as the hosts look to close the gap on the top four. After their dull 0-0 affair with Manchester United, Pep Guardiola's side are running out of time to secure a Champions League spot.
Pressure is on Pep
Manchester City head into the final seven games of the season on 52 points - and although there are still 21 to play for - they will require those in front to slip up if they are to achieve Champions League football.
Currently three games unbeaten in the Premier League, it has been a mixed period for Pep Guardiola's side - losing to Forest and drawing with rivals Man United - but at home they've been solid for a while.
Having won seven of their 10 home matches across all competitions in 2025, there's hope within the camp they can still salvage their season.
High spirits within the camp
Crystal Palace head into this clash unbeaten in their last eight (W7 D1). More impressively, the Eagles have lost just two of their 16 matches in 2025 - Everton and Brentford - and the visitors will be hoping to claim more points from Man City this season.
Having shared a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park back in December, where Palace took the lead twice, the London based side are looking to finish in the top 10 - and another three points on Saturday could lift them above Bournemouth if they fail to win - an incentive for Palace to take the game to Pep's side.
Palace can cause problems
Crystal Palace are one of few teams that are intimidated when they visit the Etihad. Since 2018, they've lost just two of their six trips, winning two and drawing the other two - including a 2-2 draw last season.
A 95th minute penalty scored by now Bayern Munich player Michael Olise saw them rectify their 4-2 loss back in 2022, but having won 2-0 in 2021, Palace will have plenty of confidence they can withstand Man City for a third straight match.
