Man United will be hoping to put their Brighton defeat behind them but welcome Premier League title contenders Liverpool to Old Trafford, who have won both of their games under their new head coach.
A late, late strike from new signing Joshua Zirkzee bailed out Erik Ten Haag against Fulham with a rather lacklustre display at Old Trafford. However, it was an even later strike against them which cost them a point on the road against Brighton.
United failed to pick up Joao Pedro from a corner in the 95th minute, where the vast majority of their players were caught ball watching. If they do that against Liverpool, there's only going to be one outcome.
It's been the perfect start for life at Liverpool for Arne Slot, who is two from two in the Premier League and has yet to concede against both Ipswich and Brentford. Admittedly, Man United should prove to be a much tougher opponent, and Old Trafford is never the easiest place to go.
Man United and Liverpool last met in the US in a pre-season friendly, where Slot's side came out on top with a comfortable 3-0 victory. Perhaps you can take that result with a pinch of salt as it was uncompetitive, but it was the first glimpse of "Slot ball" in action - and Liverpool fans were impressed.
Liverpool haven't won on their last three trips to Old Trafford, drawing twice (leading to an extra-time defeat in the FA Cup) and losing one. It hasn't been a good place for them in recent years, but under a new head coach who has got his team up and running, it might just be a different story.
There's plenty of new faces at Man United this season, and although fans were delighted to see plenty of young talent through the door, it appears as though it is going to take time to gel. There were several issues with United last season, and it was never going to be a quick fix.
Facing Liverpool so soon is far from ideal, especially after the manner in which they lost away to Brighton. Man United may have the edge in recent years, but this is a new dawn for their arch rivals, and Slot will want to keep the momentum in their favour.
Liverpool are slightly odds-on favourites heading to Manchester on Sunday, but by no means is that a guarantee. It's looking a little too short from where I'm sat, despite their comfortable pre-season win, and instead I turn towards the goal market.
In the last five Premier League meetings at Old Trafford, every single one of those matches has seen over 2.5 goals. Whether in favour of the hosts or visitors, this has been a fixture which has almost guaranteed goals.
Clearly United feel more confident in front of their own fans when they face Liverpool, and they haven't lost against their rivals since the humiliating 5-0 defeat back in 2021. Since, they have scored at least two goals against Liverpool in three consecutive home matches.
This will certainly be a test for Slot, who experiences his first rivalry against United in a competitive fixture. Although his team have kept two clean sheets to date, this could be a tough test for him.
However, Liverpool have looked extremely comfortable in front of goal, and it'll be a surprise to see United's weak looking defence keep them quiet across 90 minutes - despite being at home.
Mo Salah is someone who enjoys himself at Old Trafford, having scored on the last three visits. Backing the Egyptian to find the back of the net anytime as well as for both teams to score is priced at 9/5 with bet365 and that's my key play in this Sunday cracker.
