The Premier League continues this weekend, with arguably the biggest derby in the footballing calendar coming to a head. For today’s betting tip, we are focusing on the crucial matchup between Manchester City and Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.

That costly draw means that Manchester United are hanging on to European football by a thread in the Premier League. Arsenal are now two points behind with three games in hand, so any result in the derby would be welcomed by the red half of Manchester.

The Manchester derby is one of the more historic in the English game. For long periods, it was dominated by Manchester United in the Sir Alex Ferguson era, and nowadays even Ole Gunnar Solksjaer did the league double over Pep. But the reverse fixture provided a wake-up call for Manchester United.

The Red Devils were dominated on their home patch by City, with the Blues taking a 2-0 lead in the first half and seeing out the game. Their defensive woes were exposed by City, and United will need to be at their best for any result at the Etihad.
