We have just one Premier League game on Sunday but it is a huge clash as Manchester United welcome long term league rivals Arsenal to Old Trafford. This game never fails to deliver thrills and spills and this fixture looks set to be another cracker. Manchester United are struggling for form and come into this off the back of a heavy defeat away to Crystal Palace whilst Arsenal are playing really good football and remain firmly in the title race.
The bookies have priced the home team up at 11/2 to take the win, 4/1 for the Draw, but Arsenal have opened up at just 2/5 to get a result on their visit to Old Trafford. I have a betting suggestion for this game and it’s due to be a cracker whatever the result, but let's take a look at both sides first.
Manchester United have always thrived in these matches between themselves and Arsenal but they aren’t exactly the force of old and they require a huge bounce back to form if they are going to get anything out of this game against Arsenal. Last weekend they took a big loss at the hands of Crystal Palace conceding 4 goals without return and coming up against Arsenal looks to be an even tougher task. Manchester United are going to need a lot of luck if they are to get anything out of this game.
At the time of writing this, Arsenal are currently 1 point ahead of current champions Manchester City but the current title holders do play at 12:30 on Saturday. However, regardless of the outcome in that game, it is vital that Arsenal take all three points from their visit to Old Trafford if they want to have any hope of taking the title this season. We only have a couple of games left and Arsenal can’t afford to drop any points at all but they come into this after winning their last 4 games and will be tough to beat here.

The head to heads between Manchester United and Arsenal are very close and they almost take it in turns to take the 3 points but this season is very different and Arsenal are clearly the team in better form and it’s hard to see past them here. Arsenal have actually won the last two Premier League meetings between the two sides so even though it’s generally a bit of back and forth, Arsenal are looking to make it three wins in a row against Manchester United.
If we take a look at history then you would say this game is going to be very close however, both teams are in very different positions this year and Arsenal are playing football that is on another level to what Manchester United have shown. It’s hard to make a case for Manchester United on their current form and the fact they are lacking creativity, makes it hard to see where their opportunities will come from. This big rival fixture looks to be very one sided this year.
After having a look at both sides, it’s quite clear that Arsenal are the ones to beat this year and I expect them to get the result. At the same time, they do have the added pressure of a Premier League title race with only two games to go and we have seen a slight collapse from Arsenal last season so it may not be as clear cut as we think. That being said, Manchester United's football of late has been very poor and it’s hard to see them getting anything out of this game. I am going to use the correct score market to make my prediction.
This Sunday fixture may look one sided but the history of these two teams makes it very intriguing indeed especially on the basis that Arsenal are fully in the title race with just two games to play. I wanted to try and make a case for Manchester United here but they don't exactly fill you with much hope based on the football they are playing recently and I just don’t see how they will get a result here.
Arsenal however have been brilliant this season and actually look like an improved outfit from last season and the football they are playing clearly outweighs that of Manchester United. Arsenal have been playing very good football throughout the teams and have become very creative in attack once again and this makes them a very dangerous team against United this Sunday.
Crystal Palace beat Manchester United 4-0 last week so you would assume Arsenal could score even more but I think they will want to protect the lead when they have it, and I will take a chance on a 2-0 win to Arsenal here. I think they are very much in this title race still and find it hard to see anything other than an Arsenal win. The value play though is a 2-0 win to Arsenal at 15/2
