Aston Villa has made an inconsistent start to their campaign. They sit 10th but enter this fixture after their most impressive performance of the Premier League campaign. The Villains had a 3-0 victory over Everton this past weekend, and they will be inspired by summer signing Leon Bailey who impressed off the bench.

However, Leon Bailey is reported to have a tight thigh after Saturday’s victory, and he is touch-and-go regarding fitness. Similarly, midfielder John McGinn was replaced after suffering a blow to the head on Saturday – he may miss the fixture due to concussion protocol.

Aston Villa have a horrific record against Manchester United. The Midland side hasn’t recorded a competitive victory over the Red Devils since 2009 and will be facing the best Manchester United team in many years on Saturday.

However, Aston Villa can take inspiration from their recent goal-scoring record against United. Villa, despite losing, have netted in three of their last five against United, and they even managed a draw in 2019 at Old Trafford.
