On Sunday Manchester United play West Ham at Old Trafford and this has always been one of my favourite fixtures of the season. West Ham often serve it up to Manchester United when these two clash and this looks a close one on paper too.
There isn’t much between them in the league, but Manchester United do still find themselves 7/10 favourites to take all three points at home whilst West Ham are 7/2 to win away from home.
Manchester United aren’t exactly playing the best football but they are finding some results. The issue for me is that they have been too vulnerable at the back and this is a worry in any game. They may well be able to get a result here at home but it wont come easy. West Ham will apply the pressure and even more so if Manchester United go ahead first. A tough game for a team that are odds on to win.
West Ham have always been somewhat a bogey team for Manchester United and I fancy their chances this week. The thing I like about West Ham this season is they have a few different ways to play and their counter attack has become very potent this season as well. I think they have a massive opportunity to beat Manchester United for the third time in a row this weekend.
I have always enjoyed watching Manchester United vs West Ham. There have been some cracking matches between the two sides and in the last 4 Premier League matches, they are two a piece. West Ham won the most recent two though and they always seem to be a big problem for Manchester United. We have a great game ahead.
Manchester United trail West Ham in the league but are odds on to win this one however they are plenty vulnerable at the back. West Ham however, have been playing some really good counter attacking football this season and they are going to have plenty of chances in this fixture which makes them a dangerous side for sure with Manchester United’s defensive issues.
After looking at both teams, I think you could make a strong case for both of them, but the difference in their prices is simply too big this week. I was tempted to get stuck into the correct score market but I think there is plenty of value in the outrights here.
After looking into both of the teams in more detail I don’t think backing Manchester United at odds on would be very wise. West Ham are currently above Manchester United in the league and have won the last two games against the red devils so I think they could be worth taking a chance on once again here at a decent price of 7/2.
The counter attacking football they play seems to cause Manchester United plenty of problems year on year and I think there's plenty of value in taking them on this week. West Ham for the win at 7/2.
