The late kick off on Saturday is set to be a cracker as both teams chase a European spot in the table. Newcastle have opened up as your 10/11 favourites to take all 3 points at home. They are 13/5 for the draw, and visitors Manchester United have opened up as your 14/5 outsiders to take 3 points back to Manchester.
Newcastle are clear favourites here but they are 1 point and 1 place below the visitors heading into this fixture. I have some betting tips for this event but let’s take a look at the two teams first of all.
Newcastle are starting to find their form again this season and in their last three starts have managed to beat both Arsenal and Chelsea in pretty decent fashion. They did have a blip in between where they got beat by Bournemouth, but have generally been playing some really good football, particularly at home. I think if they come into this game feeling confident, they have every chance of taking the 3 points
Manchester United may not be playing the flashiest football but they are becoming very hard to beat at the same time. They have won their last three fixtures without return and they will be well up for this fixture on their visit to St James Park. They are going to need to ensure they stick to the same style of football they have been playing in recent weeks if they are to win here, but they definitely hold possibilities and are a decent enough price too.
Newcastle have won the last two encounters between the two sides but overall Manchester United definitely have the better record between the pair. I wouldn’t look into that too much though with these two teams as they are both playing a different style of football now and I think this is going to be a close encounter.
Newcastle and Manchester United are very close together in the table, but one of the two teams is clearly playing a more attacking style of football and I think that gives the home team the edge here. I have a betting suggestion and I will use the outright market for my selection.
Newcastle are playing very well at home and seemingly play with much more confidence when at St James Park and I think that gives them a lot of hope of taking all 3 points in this fixture. Both teams are chasing Champions League spots and a win here will be huge for either side!
Newcastle are typically going to be playing some attacking football whilst Manchester United try and break them on the counter attack, but I don't like that tactic for Manchester United this week and I think Newcastle are going to have too much fire power here.
They have been starting fast at home and I think if they take the lead against Manchester United then they are going to be very hard to peg back. 10/11 may seem short in the betting but I think they are good value for it and will take all the beating at home here.
