NFL Week 2 Betting Tips Preview

The NFL returns this week after an eventful opening weekend that saw wins for Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills to name a few.

With 32 teams in action, it would be impossible to write previews and distribute NFL betting tips on every single game. So, the remainder of this page will feature previews for some of the games I think will steal the show in week 2.

Detroit Lions @ Buffalo Bulls - Thursday 01:15 BST

Week 2 sees the Bills entertain the Lions at Highmark Stadium in what will be the first NFL game to be staged at the newly opened $2.2 billion 60,000 seater stadium. The Bills were on the road last weekend when they came away from the Houston Texans with a 36-31 victory. Josh Allen - who is my tip for MVP this season - got off to a great start with two touchdowns, 20 passing completions, two passing TDs and 334 passing yards. Allen certainly sent a message out to the rest of the league that he means business. The Lions survived a scare in their 31-30 overtime win over New Orleans Saints. Detroit looked home and dry when they led 21-0 at one stage, but the Saints hit back. Jared Goff threw for 206 yards with two TD passes. The quality of Goff and his offence is not in doubt, but there are questions about their secondary. They allowed New Orleans to throw for over 400 yards and if Tyler Slough can exploit their secondary like that, then Allen will have a field day. The battle between Allen and Goff will be interesting, I think Allen will come out on top and throw for over 300 yards, while I am tipping Goff to be intercepted at least twice. I am backing the Bills to start life in their new home with a strong victory with Allen ultimately being the difference.
