The Premier League returns following the recent international break with Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace both looking to end a winless run.
Forest are at home at The City Ground and have not picked up three points since beating Liverpool, while the Eagles have yet to pick up a win in the Premier League this season.
Nottingham Forest have not had the worst start to the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, but the fact they have failed to win any of the last three matches will start to be a concern
Victories over Southampton and Liverpool have been their highlights so far. Their only defeat was a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Chelsea, while they have drawn their last two matches on the road against Brighton and Chelsea.
Their performances against Liverpool and Chelsea show they can mix it against the big boys and they are currently in 10th position just four points behind Chelsea in the fourth and final Champions League spot.
The Reds will be without James Ward-Prowse following his sending off against Chelsea, while goalkeeper Matz Sels is still out with a groin problem.
Morgan Gibbs-White is still struggling with an ankle injury and there is no date for his return, while Danilo has a similar injury and is not expected to feature against Palace.
Crystal Palace ended the 2023/24 Premier League season with six wins and one draw from their final seven matches, and they were expected to kick on this year.
That might still happen, but at the minute they are struggling and are currently in the relegation places with only Southampton and Wolves behind them.
They have failed to register a single victory from seven matches this season. Their only points have come from three draws against Chelsea, Leicester City and Manchester United.
Many observers thought they would gain confidence from the draw against the Red Devils, but since that draw they have lost two on the spin and look in deep trouble.
They have some injury concerns with Adam Wharton and Daniel Munoz both out with a groin injury. Cheick Doucoure has been out with a toe problem, but should feature on Monday evening.
Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace have clashed a total of 47 times with the Reds winning 20 of them, while the Eagles have been victorious 11 times. This fixture has ended in a draw 16 times.
These two last met in March earlier this year. The game ended in a 1-1 draw with Chris Wood cancelling out an early opener from Jean-Phillippe Mateta.
This game last had a winner in November 2022 with Forest winning 1-0, while Crystal Palace last picked up three points at The City Ground in 2011 when both teams were still in the Championship.
Looking at the Premier League table, this should go down as an easy home win, but we know things do not plan out like that. Both teams need to get that win to help shape the remainder of their campaign. Take a look at the key stats and best betting odds ahead of the game between the Reds and the Eagles on Monday evening..
Despite not winning since that amazing win at Anfield, Forest are still motoring along quite nicely and we expect them to take all three points. The home side are the favourites to win at 13/10 with Betano. Palace are available at 21/10 with the draw being backed at 85/40.
Anthony Elanga burst on to the scene for Manchester United as a youngster and made his competitive debut for United against Leicester City.
His pace and skill were noticed right away and it looked like he would have a big future at Old Trafford alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford - but it did not work out like that.
He scored three goals in 39 appearances before joining Nottingham Forest on a five-year deal worth £15 million.
He scored five goals for the Reds last season, but he has yet to find the target this season. We are backing him to show his class under the lights on Monday evening.
Whether he starts or comes off the bench in the second half, we are backing the Sweden international to have a huge impact on the outcome of this game.
Back him to find the back of the net and help Forest claim their third win of the Premier League season and pile more pressure on Palace manager Oliver Glasner. He can be backed at 5/1 with Betano.
