Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to close the gap on the top four after getting back to winning ways against Newcastle United last time out. They travel to the City Ground on Friday evening against a Nottingham Forest side who have not won a league game in over a month. This game is crucial for both teams. Spurs need the points if they are to be in with a chance of making the Champions League, while the Reds need the win to keep manager Steve Cooper in a job.

Nottingham Forest have not won any of their last five Premier League matches and manager Cooper is under intense pressure to turn the tide around.

Cooper worked miracles in getting the Reds to the Premier League and keeping them in the top division, but they are struggling this season, and the owners might make a change.

He was given a stay of execution last weekend when they drew with Wolves, but a heavy defeat on Friday could see the boss axed.

Forest will be without Brazilian Murillo after he picked up a thigh injury, while former Spurs defender Serge Aurier will miss out because of a calf strain he picked up against Everton on December 2.

Richarlison returned to the Tottenham Hotspur starting line-up for the first time since October last weekend. It was a timely return as he scored two goals to help Spurs end a run of five Premier League matches without a victory.

The Brazilian looked fresh against Newcastle United and with the likes of Giovani Lo Celso and James Maddison still on the medical table, a fully fit Richarlison could be like having a brand-new signing.

If Richarlison and Heung-Min Son can get on the same page again, then it could be a very long night for the Reds under the lights.

The last time the Reds took three points off The Lilywhites was back in 1997 when Dean Saunders scored the only goal of the game at White Hart Lane. I cannot see Spurs dropping points against Forest. I know the Reds are desperate to get back to winning ways, but the visitors are clear favourites at 7/10. The home side are on offer at 10/3 to grab their first win since Bonfire Night. The draw can be backed at 16/5.

Richarlison is a deadly finisher and when he is happy, he is very hard to defend against. If Son, Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski can get some decent ball to him, then he will cause Forest a whole host of problems.

I can see this being an easy night for Tottenham, so I am backing the former Everton and Watford striker to get on the score sheet at least twice and add to the three league goals he has already scored this season. I think the visitors will be switched on at the back as well, as I can see them winning this game without conceding a single goal.
