Wakefield Trinity vs Leigh Leopards - Friday, September 18 - 20:00 BST

These two met in round 27 of the regular Super League season with Wakefield winning to secure fourth place and a home tie in week one of the play-offs. This is it for both teams, defeat and their season is over. This is why I expect it be a thriller of a game. Knockout rugby league is so exciting to watch. Trinity have been very good this season, their fourth place finish is their best in Super League and they are just one win away from a Super League semi-final tie against Wigan or Leeds. As mentioned, these two met last week with Wakefield winning 19-8 on the road. I actually believe it will be even closer this Friday. These two teams both have one of the best try scoring talents in Super League. Wakefield have Tom Johnstone, who has scored 18 tries this season, while Josh Charnley is on the wing for Leigh and he has 25 tries this season and is the Super League's all time leading try scorer. The battle between these two will be insane. Jayden Myers is unavailable for Trinity after failing the concussion protocols last weekend. Leigh will be without the departing Robbie Mulhern who has a calf problem - and there is every chance he has already played his final game for the Leopards. This one, for me, is very tough to call. Both teams have match winners all over the park. With it being at the DIY Kitchens Stadium, I think the home crowd will play a massive role in the outcome of this game. I am backing Wakefield to win by 1-5 points. When it comes to scoring tries, it is a no brainer to back both Johnstone and Charnley to score anytime tries. I am also backing the ever impressive Max Jowitt to score as well. I am looking forward to this one.

Warrington Wolves vs Hull Kingston Rovers - Saturday, September 19 - 17:30 BST

At the start of the season, many people thought this match up had the potential to be the actual Grand Final. Unfortunately for the defending champions Hull KR, their season has been quite stop start with poor form and suspensions, but they made the play-offs and are still in with a chance. Warrington have motored along quite well this season, they ended the weekly rounds in third place and the feeling around the club is that they are on the verge of winning the Grand Final for the first time in their history. These two teams have already met three times this season. The Wolves won both Super League games, 34-12 on home soil in July and 34-28 away from hoe in August. The other meeting happened in the Challenge Cup with the Robins winning that one comfortably 32-12. The return of George Williams following neck surgery has inspired the Wolves, the stand off is back to his best and with the World Cup around the corner, this can only mean good news for England. Ewan Irwin could feature for the Wolves for the first time since they beat Hull KR in August. He picked up a foot injury in an incident that saw Mikey Lewis receive a two-match suspension. It will be good to see these two talents go up against each other again. Hull KR named a weakened squad at St Helens last weekend because they had already qualified, but he has all his guns back available with Jez Litten, Tyrone May, Tom Davies, Peta Hiku, Joe Burgess and captain Elliot Minchella all available again. It is dangerous to write off a team that no one expects to do well, and that is the case with Hull KR. They might not be at their best, but they are champions for a reason and should be treated accordingly. That being said, I like the look of Warrington and with Williams pulling the strings, I cannot see past a win for the Wolves. I am going with Warrington to win by 11-15 points. Matty Ashton and Albert Hopoate have scored 34 tries between them, so I am backing them to score a try at anytime in the 80 minutes. In Hull KR's team, they have a player in Joe Burgess that knows how to perform in the big games. I expect him to score, but this time he will fall short in reaching his sixth Grand Final.

Last 10 meetings:

Hull KR 28, Warrington 34 (SLR2, 18/8/26)
