For the first time this season, the Premier League teams enter the FA Cup at the third round stage.  For today’s betting tip, we’ll be focusing on the important all-Premier League tie in the FA Cup between West Ham United and Leeds United at the London Stadium.

West Ham United have been one of the more impressive teams in the Premier League over the past two seasons. They secured a European spot and made the fifth round of the FA Cup during the 2020/21 season, and they’ll be hoping to go one better in 2022.

Injuries have reared their ugly head again for Marcelo Bielsa’s team. Staples of their promotion campaign such as Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper aren’t returning for at least a month, whilst Patrick Bamford has a 50/50 chance of featuring.

Both teams fared differently in the FA Cup last season. Leeds United fell to a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of Crawley Town, whereas West Ham United suffered a narrow loss to Manchester United in the Round of 16.

Since Leeds United’s promotion, West Ham United have had the better of the Whites. In the last three, the Hammers have an undefeated record, including a pair of wins at Elland Road. Therefore, West Ham should fancy their chances with home advantage on the weekend.
