West Ham United looked on course for a comfortable victory over Newcastle United on Saturday as they led 3-1 heading into the final 13 minutes at St James’ Park.
They could not have envisaged what was to follow. Three goals in that period of time saw them winning comfortably to go on and lose the game 4-3.
That defeat saw a four-game unbeaten streak come to an end following a run of two victories and two draws. That defeat sees them in seventh position and they are now four points behind Manchester United in sixth spot.

Our Betting Tip for Today- Draw & BTTS – 16/5 @ CopyBet
Tottenham Hotspur are the favourites to take all three points and they can be backed at 20/21. The Hammers are on offer at 9/4 with the draw available at 3/1.
Despite being in fifth place and pushing for a place in the Champions League, Tottenham Hotspur have not been that impressive recently.
They have a squad loaded with quality and can score from anywhere on the field, but they still do not look like a top class outfit.
This is a fierce rivalry so tensions will be high on and off the field. We believe the Hammers will be more up for this than Tottenham in terms of what it means to the supporters.
West Ham will still be smarting about the way they collapsed against Newcastle. That kind of performance will not be accepted against Spurs.
We expect an end-to-end affair with both teams getting on the scoresheet. Back West Ham to be more sturdy at the back and come away with a point.
