West Ham welcome Everton to the London Stadium for the one o’clock kick off on Sunday and this could turn out to be a tight fixture. Ladbrokes have priced up West Ham as the 11/10 favourites whilst Everton are currently 23/10 to take 3 points back to Merseyside.
West Ham will definitely be the happier of the two sides based on how they have started this season, but they have been vulnerable of late and that could leave the door slightly open for Everton to take something from this fixture. I have come down on some betting tips for this game, but we'll take a look at the two sides first off so you can see my angle towards my best bets.
West Ham have started off in decent fashion this season currently sat in 9th and their home form stacks up really nicely too. The only time they have been beaten at home this season was to the current champions Manchester City, but apart from that they have played really well at home. This would make you think they are going to be very hard to beat and that may be so, but West Ham have still been vulnerable at the back and for the 16 goals they have scored, they have also conceded 16 goals so will need to ensure the defense are fully switched on this Sunday. This being said, they have been very good up front and look the likeliest of the two teams to take the 3 points at 11/10.
Everton currently sit further down the table in 16th and even though they have started slow, they are beginning to find a little bit of improvement and it won’t be long until it all clicks for them. They have only managed to score 9 goals and they were beaten by rivals Liverpool away from home last week, but the 3-0 home win against Bournemouth the week before offers hope this weekend. They are going to need a few things to go their way, but they are capable of taking something from this fixture if they turn up in that form
These two are very closely matched in the head to heads with Everton taking 5 wins in the last 10 head to head fixtures, West Ham have 4 and the other was a draw so it’s very tight on paper, but this season, West Ham are the ones playing much better football on a more consistent basis and they are going to be a hard tea to beat this weekend.
After taking a look at both of the team's head to head form there is very little in them, but having watched both teams play their last few fixtures I do have an idea of how this match will pan out and I will be using the outright market to find my best bets.
I think the bookies have these two teams priced up correctly this week as West Ham have definitely looked the more dangerous of the two and their league position tells you that story too, but I do give Everton a chance this week of getting something out of the game. I have watched them play in their last few games now and they are improving slowly and it will click for them soon, but it could just be that West Ham are a much better team this season. I have some betting tips for this fixture and I hope we can take some profit from this early kick off on Sunday!
Having weighed up the credentials of both teams I really do think Everton are going to put up a big performance away from home and they aren’t going to be easy to beat this week. I’ve mentioned that they have started slow, but slowly but surely, they are finding some form on the pitch and could be tough nuts to crack this week. I definitely think they are going to score this week, but I guess the question is, can they go the full 90 minutes and concede less than West Ham.
Well I’d actually love to suggest that Everton can take something from this fixture however I just feel that West Ham have too much firepower and I think Everton would need to score at least more than 1 to win here and I can;t see that happening. I do think they will make it more difficult than expected for West Ham to break them down this weekend, but ultimately I think West Ham winning at 11/10 is enough value to get stuck into. If the 11/10 is too short for you then a West Ham win and both teams to score would pay 13/5, and this is just as tempting.
