To kick off a brilliant weekend of Premier League football West Ham welcome Liverpool to the London Stadium for a 12:30 kick off. West Ham are struggling to find their form at the minute which wont help their chances against an outfit like Liverpool but they have similarly been in poor form in recent weeks so this match may not be so straightforward as we would usually be expecting.
The bookies have opened up the market and West Ham at home are 5/1 to take all three points and despite a few disappointing week’s for Liverpool, they have still opened up at a short price of 1/2 to beat the Hammers away from home. I have a betting suggestion for this game but let’s have a look at the two sides.
West Ham couldn’t be playing Liverpool at a better time with the reds struggling to find their form, but unfortunately West Ham find themselves in a similar position and have lost their last two games 5-2 and 2-0. They started the season really well but have found it difficult in recent weeks and have become very vulnerable in defence which is of course a worry against Liverpool. West Ham will really need to turn it around this week if they are to get anything out of this game and they don’t have the best record against Liverpool either.
Liverpool's title hopes have all but gone in the last few week’s having lost two of their last three Premier League games and it does bring cause for concern if you are backing them this week, but they are surely going to be too strong for West Ham away from home. Despite a few poor results Liverpool have strength in depth up front and are still the most likely winners. They need to get back on track but they will be hard to beat.

Liverpool dominate the head to heads between these two sides having won 9 of the last 10 meetings between these two sides and that does show the domination Liverpool have had over West Ham in recent years. The other fixture was won by West Ham but they really need to find some form out of nowhere if they are to beat Liverpool this weekend.
This is quite an intriguing fixture because neither team are coming into this in good form but on paper it really does look very one sided. Liverpool however have been prone to going behind quite early in games in recent weeks so if West Ham can capitalise on a fast start then who knows what could happen.
Now that we have taken a look at both teams, I have come down to a betting suggestion. I do think despite being 1/2 in the market that Liverpool are somewhat a decent bet but those odds are very short for a team out of form. What I have done instead is come up with a score suggestion in search of better value and I think we have a good chance of landing this one. It will be an entertaining game regardless
The early kick off on Saturday is going to be a really entertaining game to watch and both teams could really do with a win here. I would like to try and make a case for West Ham but their form has been very poor of late and against a side like Liverpool they are going to need a lot of luck to get anything out of the game. I do think they can get on the scoresheet but I think ultimately Liverpool will just prove too strong here and inevitably will take the three points back to Anfield.
I don’t think it will be straightforward though and they may even have to come from behind again. For these reasons I am going to go for a Liverpool 3-1 win. They have struggled to keep a clean sheet but I think they will have too much firepower for West Ham.
